Allen West: Newt carrying 200 lbs of political baggage

It's not exactly clear what segment of the Republican electorate is behind Newt Gingrich's surge in recent presidential primary polls, save that they aren't fans of Mitt Romney.

Gingrich isn't well regarded among established Republican types, who are fully aware of his propensity for bombast and verbal and political gaffes. Nor does it seem like he would do well with the Tea Party crowd, which is skeptical of both long service in Washington and careers in influence peddling.

He is right. Conservative doesn't mean re-eating your leftovers.

Agree...anyone who votes for Newt is dilusional. He had to leave the house for ethics charges. Even though they were BS to some extend that will be brought up, all his messy stuff will be brought up, he makes faces during debates that will turn women off (fair or not), and lastly his name is “Newt” no women will vote for a guy named “Newt” sorry but life isn’t fair, but you have to play ball with the rules that are given.

the reason the dems ran obama was that he had no baggage, in fact, no record.

newt is the opposite—a 250 lb baggage bomb.

Newt, your time is over. Stop sucking up to Romniny and know Conservatives need to have strong statements in support of pro-life, sealing our borders, and endorsing our God-given inalienable rights.

BTW, when has Newt talked about the 2nd Amendment?

Newt is a RINO fraud. All claims of him surging in the polls are exaggerated by Karl Rove’s liberal stooges in the media. During the 2010 elections, Karl Rove showed that he loves extremist liberals and extremist liberal radicals showed that they support Karl Rove’s stooges like Murkowski.

Even Intrade is rigged like we saw in 2008 when one of McCain’s supporters was caught rigging Intrade. It does not take much to rig it if you are part of the establishment RINOs. You just need to spend several thousand dollars.

Truth is there are no perfect candidates running this time around.

Newt does have a baggage car full and is an has been an 80/20 type of guy for as long as I can recall. (80% of the time he is brilliant and the other 20% of the time you want to hide from what he says or is saying)Second truth is that no matter who we elect and let's face it guys and gals most are rino if not rinoesque,a huge bonfire will have to be started directly under their ass and wood piled on nightly to keep the blaze hot.

If we don't stay on them all the time they are like kids they will McCAin out. But most of them yield to pressure from the base. Basically they can't stand the heat. It's the only way we will win and save the nation. By staying on them all the time regardless of who we pick.

Mittens is looking more like Marley’s Ghost from “A Christmas Carol”, chained down by his stuck-on-25%-rating with Republicans, wailing and thrashing.

WHile that’s true zeros baggage car is much fuller than Newt’s at this point. We should always remember that. Plus the pathway to success has a much better chance over the next 4 years with newt in and zero out,not even close.

I think Ann Coulter put it pretty well:

“In addition to having an affair in the middle of Clinton’s impeachment; apologizing to Jesse Jackson on behalf of J.C. Watts — one of two black Republicans then in Congress –- for having criticized “poverty pimps,” and then inviting Jackson to a State of the Union address; cutting a global warming commercial with Nancy Pelosi; supporting George Soros’ candidate Dede Scozzafava in a congressional special election; appearing in public with the Rev. Al Sharpton to promote nonspecific education reform; and calling Paul Ryan’s plan to save Social Security “right-wing social engineering,” we found out this week that Gingrich was a recipient of Freddie Mac political money. . . .”

How soon we forget, once a guy tosses out a few verbal firebombs in a televised debate. Newt has a history, and it’s no more consistently conservative than George W. Bush’s.

This is from the Huffington Post. I guess we can see who’s afraid of Gingrich.

[ Gingrich isn’t well regarded among established Republican types, who are fully aware of his propensity for bombast and verbal and political gaffes. ]

The author must desire mealy mouth fuzzy logic as opposed to straight out opinions..
You know.. Washington D.C. speak.. where you say a mouth full of nothing..

Newt don’t play that!... Not that I agree with him all the time..
BUT he does say what he means to say without drooooling.. with eyes that don’t roll...

Don Rumsfeld is like that and Dick Cheney..
The author must prefer a Romney thats talks and doesnt say anything..

Ron Paul says what he thinks and means what he says.. which is his problem..
But I respect him for doing that..

Even Intrade is rigged

Very few people I know take Intrade seriously. No great loss there.

Underneath it all, Newt is an inside the beltway, brain fungus zombie, still so fascinated with the workings of his cerebral remnant that he has lost entirely the situational and contextual awareness needed to pass himself off as a conservative. He is a wonk, not a conservative, constitutional originalist, and like most wonks has no polestar. Thus his insane outburst about illegal aliens. Thus his playing kissy face with the bitch-jackal Pelosi. Thus his taking a 200K per annum fee from the beast itself. Hush money, perhaps? And people call him smart? Only in Washington circles is such conduct called smart. In the real world such conduct by a presidential aspirant is called blind arrogance.

If he had a 15 point lead going into super Tuesday, he would be absolutely capable of blowing it with 30 well chosen words on a Sunday morning talk show. Who knows what the man will say next, including the man himself. Moreover, for all we know, the man has more dead bodies stuffed in trunks than Ira Einhorn or Buffalo Bill. Goodnight Newt - time's up.

Too bad Ann Coulter is ignoring the disastrous list ten times as long for her guy Romney. He’s eons worse than Gingrich. He’s been on the left fringe on many critical issues.
