A woman accused of throwing a sick 2-month-old baby onto a bed in late October has been arrested, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
Anita Redden, 29, of Crestview, also is accused of punching and kicking a man who planned to take the baby to a doctor and then striking him with her Ford Explorer, according to her arrest report.
Redden is charged with battery by touch or strike, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and child abuse without great harm.
Deputies arrived at a home in Crestview on Oct. 26 in response to a disturbance. They spoke to a man who said Redden had called him because the baby had a fever and she wanted him to take the child to the hospital.
When he arrived, Red-den and he started arguing. The man said Redden was holding the baby in her lap and forcefully threw the 2-month-old baby down on the bed, causing it to scream, the report said.
The man told deputies Redden kicked him in the groin and jumped on his back and punched him in the face. He said he yelled to a friend who was outside to call 911. Redden then took several children from the house and put them in her Ford Explorer, the report said.
The man and the witness told deputies she was yelling that she was going to hit the man with her car. They said she hit the gas and hit the victim with the back end of the Explorer, knocking him down, and sped off, the report said.
Redden was arrested Nov. 8 after warrants were issued.
I threw my son into a ceiling fan when he was one.
I was pretty drunk at the time.
No doubt we are also paying for this sick fiasco.
Was the fan OK?
“Gee. Shes black. Golly. Color me shocked.”
Yeah, typically you expect this kind of behavior from Susan Smith and Andrea Yates who are not white and murder their kids.
Democrat Throws Baby During Argument (MUGSHOT)
I’m not going to jump all over the gal quite yet. Other than perhaps her having a pack of kids with no dad around. But I can see another version of the story:
“Charles - can you come over? Your child has a fever and I need you to take him to the doctor. I have to stay home and stay with all the other kids.”
“Hey Anita I’m here. Huh - that’s not mine! I thought you were talking about the other one.”
“Well it could be yours, and you need to take him!”
“No I don’t! And He doesn’t need to go anyway - and I ain’t paying for it.”
“Well he’s going to the doctor - I’ll take him myself! Now get out of my way.”
“I’m not letting you leave if you think I’m going to pay for it - now sit down.”
“Get your hands off of me! Kid’s - get in the car we’re all going!”
“You can’t just go like that Anita - I’m not done done here!”
“Charles - I’m taking my boy to the hospital, you best get out of my way ‘cuz I’m leaving!!”
“Gee. Shes black. Golly. Color me shocked.”

Please take your racist crap else where
My son (who was completely sober) almost got my cat hit by a ceiling fan. He was concentrating on the bug that was crawling on the ceiling that the cat really wanted to attack. Both he and the cat were not paying attention to the fan. Lucky for them, others told him to back off.
I usually don't defend moms; but I've got a feeling there is more to this story.
Yes, true....but let's talk about proportionate to the general population.....

Maybe, probably....but it doesn't matter.
Guess you don’t live down South, pal. This is everyday crap in this neck of the woods. Deal with it.
FYI Pal, I did not drop dime on you. And you have recognized nothing
Wanna try that again....this time, in English?
It’s really sad that children are brought into such an uncaring world.
