Say a prayer each night when you go to bed.
Do a good deed every day. (Why?)
'Cause a flash in Winchell's column says,
Santa Claus is on his way!

She and Him and Michael Buble have good new ones this year. Jimmy Buffett’s “Christmas Island” is great as well.

Medaeval Baebes, Bing Crosby, Firestone Records (finally being released on Cd) Hit up eBay, loads of great cds for under $3 including shipping (when you buy or bid on more than one from the same vendor.)

Best part is that you’re helping small businesses too!

Anyone whose list of best Christmas music omits the Celtic Women Christmas Celebration needs his ears recalibrated.

Amazon has free holiday music every year - I’ve collected quite a bit by now.

My nostagic fave is Ray Conniff “Christmas with Coniff”. For those who think that sounds really weird, I guarantee you’ve heard a ton of it - it’s a classic, they play bits all the time.

Others:

Christmas Island by Leon Redbone
Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guardini

And if you like nostalgia, try this one:
http://www.amazon.com/100-Classic-Christmas-Songs/dp/B004H4J97A/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322898716&sr=301-1

It’s a great collection for the price, and the recording quality is very good - something often sadly missing on large, inexpensive collections.

Bing Crosby and the Andrew sisters did a great Christmas Island also, but Buffet also does a fun Mele Kaliekimaka which is a lot of fun also. But if you have him singing CI, I’m sure you know that. :)

As far as Christmas music goes, Bing still rules the roost!

For Christmas compilations, I humbly submit Capitol Records Ultra Lounge Christmas Coctails 1 & 2. I love them so.

I love TSO and Celtic Woman, plus Mannheim Steamroller is pretty good as well. And for fun, I like John Denver and the Muppets.

One of my favourites if you ever get a chance to listen to is Sarah Brightman - A Winter Symphony.

Or Loreena McKennitt - A winter Garden.

A local radio station started playing Christmas songs the beginning of November. I like Christmas songs so I have no problem with it. The problem I do have is that out of the thousands of CD’s that are out there, their programming only plays about 20 to maybe 30 old standards then repeats.......I’m sick of them already.
