Conservatives are lost. Give us Barrabas!

Posted on 12/03/2011 4:42:03 PM PST by OUTKAST

After the news of Herman Cain, it appears to me that conservatives are lost.

How can you abandoned a man on allegations yet flock over to support someone who has a history of doing worse.

It reminds me of when Jesus was being betrayed by his own people instead they wanted the guy that use to rape their women an steal from them to go free..

America, you deserve what you get in 2012. You are constantly being played like sheep to a slaughter.

We can now proceed with the plans for the New World Order for the next century...

He was abandoned well before today’s announcement because a boatload of so-called conservatives drank the DNC and MSM Kool-Aid.

He quit, time to suck up bucko and take it like a man and move on.

Axelrod and the Chicago machine may have leveled the charges...but if they had not hit Cain where it hurt, he would have survived this.

Cain was vulnerable or he would have mustered an effective defense.

How was he vulnerable...I don't know. But his unwillingness to fight to the death (of Alexrod) was evidence of something that perhaps we'll never know.

Don't blame the enemy. Take responsibility.

If Cain was kicked out...tough sh!t. He should have evaluated his weaknesses before he got into the fight.

I think he is a good man...but a human being like the rest of us.

As Clauswitz said: "politics is war" (I paraphrase). Herman underestimated the brutality of American politics.

Got that right. The High Level DC Hack Gingrich has a ton of baggage. Yet, Cain is given a high tech lynching.

Agreed

God help us. But we cannot leave our children to inherit a country that is not free.

Sorry all that matters to some is the sanctity of their SS checks (they are entitlements), no matter that they contributed 1/3rd of what they’re taking back out. For others, their ox might get gored if the necessary steps were ever taken to actually balance the budget. Or if we actually closed the border, some people might actually have to pay their employees a living wage.

I’d take Bachmann in a heartbeat, but if she started rising in the polls again, the status-quo nitwits would Cain her to death as well. Conservatives wonder why nothing good ever comes out of DC? It’s because the same morons keep putting the same bunch of feckless lowlifes back in power year, after year, after year.

Bring us Barabbas!

“After the news of Herman Cain, it appears to me that conservatives are lost. How can you abandoned a man on allegations yet flock over to support someone who has a history of doing worse.”

Mr. Cain was not abandoned. He had many who were direct supporters, and many more who were sympathetic to his policies (and would have become Nominee Cain’s direct supporters). He was not abandoned — he did not have the fortitude to remain in the race, and he couldn’t just ride his proponents’ fortitude.

Your premise that he has been abandoned is incorrect. I say this not to lash out at you — I say this to make it obvious that it’s time to LET IT GO. Mr. Cain is not on the menu. You could never have “wished him” into the presidency.

you need to get a grip. Maybe even forget about politics for a while and stop getting so emotionally attached to any of these candidates. It is just business. It was clear Bachman wasn’t going to get it done. Then Perry tried and it was clear he wasn’t it. Then Cain tried but imploded. Now Newt. we’ll see what happens.

Newt’s next. They’ll be inventing all kinds of bimbo stories for him to have to deny. They want Romney...Newt’s getting in their way.

I wasn’t for Cain before this, and I’m not flocking to Gingrich now. I don’t have a preferred candidate in this race, at least not yet. But I would vote for any of the six—Romney, Perry, Gingrich, Huntsman, Santorum, or Bachmann (Paul’s the only one I could not vote for)—over the Democrat.

But your boy Newt’s words are good as gold, right?

Didn’t you mean Diamonds? Diamonds purchased with the “lobbying/history” money Gingrich made of Freddie Mac

I think Bachmann and Santorum will rise considerably in Iowa.

Frankly I don’t know why the GOP seems intent on tossing the midwest overboard this year. The midwest has been a major battleground over the past year with the union and budgeting fight.
