1. He was hitting his irons to exact yardage almost always.
2. Fredie making him a Captain's pick had something to do with this. Up until then, he was trying to make his comeback alone and by playing just for himself. But on the President's Cup Team he had the pressure of performing for others; the team and Fred. I think that fueled something.
3. On Saturday he was short sided on 14 in some long grass and hit a full swing flop shot that went about 20 feet in the air and carried just 15. That was a glimpse of confidence coming back.
4. There was a big screen by the stands at the 18th green. The broadcast yesterday showed the crowd watching the screen when Tiger made the birdie putt at 17 to tie Zach. The crowd erupted, especially the young women. That(their support for him) seems odd to me on view of what he did to his wife and family.
I'm not as supportive of him as I once was, but I can't help but watch when he tees it up.
