Neither the unions or the greens are going to run from the democrats, so this is hardly a nightmare for Obama. Obama’s problem is with the swing voters and independents who thought in 2008 that he was going to be a nonpartisan breath of fresh air. He can't run without a record again.

Exactly. The greens will never vote R, and the unions will only vote R if a Reagan is running. And I didn't see any Reagan type at the last debate.

His problem is going to be all those people that voted for him just because “it was the right thing to do”...in other words they just wanted to vote for the first black president.

That’s all over and done with now. They don’t need to vote for him again.
