New Cold Fusion Success Claim: “Aussie Guy E-Cat” Says he Has Fleischmann-Pons Effect Devices Working
December 26, 2011
A very interesting discussion is taking place on Vortex-l, the online email discussion list for cold fusion, where a poster nicknamed “Aussie Guy E-Cat” is sharing information about Fleischmann-Pons Experiment (FPE) devices he has obtained from an Asian source, and which he plans to use to commercialize and demonstrate that Fleischmann and Pons were correct in their cold fusion claims.
In the discussion thread Aussie Guy writes:
The 2 cells were obtained from an Asian source. They are on loan for 3 months. The source will work remotely with our local uni to get them operational. They output greater than 1 watt with a COP greater than 5. We are funding the work at the local uni. The uni can publish the results from the cells we make locally. The source has received an up front payment. They will receive further funding as the cells are proven to work by the local uni and further funding when our replicant cells become operational.
We plan to make our replicant cells available to other FPE researchers. These cells are not capable of delivering a E-Cat or Hyperion level of performance. They are designed to prove F&P were correct, the FPE is real, to silence the FPE deniers and drive scientific investigation of the FPE. Our desire is simple. To accelerate the acceptance of the FPE, to get the effect properly understood and to see FPE devices powering our planet. OK, along the way to make a few dollars as well.

This poster had hoped to purchase a 100 kW E-Cat plant from Andrea Rossi, but Rossi was not willing to sell a scaled-down large plant, so it appears that Aussie Guy has looked to other sources for small-scale devices to demonstrate the reality of cold fusion. The fact that he is working with a local (Australian) university will be of interest to the many people who have been hoping for independent third party testing of cold fusion devices by qualified scientists. AG says that eventually the plan is for him to manufacture simple FPE demo devices that can be sold to the wide market.
This is another interesting development in what seems to be a growing momentum in the area of cold fusion research, and the positive results reported are encouraging news for all who are hoping to see a rapid emergence of a new and improved energy source for a world that is very much in need of it. 2012 could be shaping up to be a banner year for cold fusion!

I do want to believe. Seriously. But I will need more than faith.

I asked God for proof of His existence, I got it.

I will need just as much from a human.

I have been following E-cat and Cold Fusion since Algore first discovered the phenomenon in a whorehouse in Thailand in 1903........

Powder..patch..ball FIRE!

I believe that there are physical processes available to humans as tool builders that we have NOT discovered or learned to manipulate to our advantage.

Whether F&P could replicate or not they uncovered something in low temperature physics that had been overlooked.

I believe just what I stated. The more eyes on the quicker the commercialization.

Rossi’s development has brought more attention to the process and possible paths to success than anything in the last 5 years.

I have been following E-cat and Cold Fusion since Christopher Columbus accidently sank the Nina by attempting desktop fusion on the initial journey to America in 1492.

Columbus stole Cold Fusion from the Indians and you know it.

I have been following E-cat and Cold Fusion since Ghengis Khan, Leader of the Mongolian Hordes, first perfected it on horseback.

Rossi’s development has brought more attention to the process and possible paths to success than anything in the last 5 years.

When Rossi is marched back to jail again, and earns more frequent incarceration miles, cold fusion will sink further into the abyss.

Far from being a vindication for Rossi or LENR in general, it is an admission that there is no "there" there. Keep in mind that Aussi Guy hasn't even demonstrated that a 1-Watt reactor is real. All he's done is order some gadgets from companies that claim to be able to produce 1-Watt.

At 1-Watt the good news he won't need to hook up a big generator to make it work. I wonder if it still needs the 4 hour warm up period, though.

Yes, but in the process he confirmed that it is a scam by the sequence of events he allowed himself to be led through.

Well, I don’t know about all that, but I have been following E-cat and Cold Fusion since Jesus overturned the power company tables in the Temple.

Wanna bet? Name some terms. Something public that we can agree on.

At least this guy is showing his wares and plans up front. Here's his baseline business plan, looks pretty good!

Now that's what I call a business man and plan with integrity. Is he taking options to buy shares yet?

I was willing to bet during the Freepathon. Loser donates agreed amount in winner’s name. Kevmo wouldn’t go for it.

You seem awfully sure of yourself, especially considering that this story is really about someone who is going to extreme measures because Rossi won't/can't sell a working E-Cat.

There is no reason that this guy (Aussie Guy) would be trying to put together his own 1-Watt demonstrator units if there was any chance that Rossi could produce the 10,000-Watt E-Cat units he claims to have. Whether he publicly admits it or not, Aussie Guy has obviously given up on actually getting his hands on an actual E-Cat.

Have you noticed that Rossi still hasn't named a single customer?

Have you noticed that Rossi still hasn't shown any signs of a manufacturing facility, even though he's now claiming that he's going to build <hold pinky to corner of mouth, a'la Dr. Evil> ONE MILLLLION DEVICES by summer.

Have you noticed that Rossi has reneged on his promise to allow various Universities to test the E-Cat? Earlier, he claimed that he sold his house to come up with the money to have that testing done. Now, he claims that independent confirmation of his device is, somehow, detrimental to being able to convince people to buy it. How could independent testing possibly hurt his business, unless the testing would prove that his gadget doesn't actually work?
