CHARLESTON -

The Occupy Charleston movement is gone.

At least they're nowhere to be seen.

The large tent that had housed the protesters for several weeks was dismantled Friday.

The open canopy and flooring was provided by the AFL-CIO at a property near the union's building on Leon Sullivan Way in the warehouse district.

But union officials told 13 News yesterday the movement's leaders asked them to take the tent down.

They were told the location was too far off the beaten track to get the attention the demonstrators wanted.

Occupy Charleston protesters had kept up a continuous presence for the last two and a half months. When they were forced out ofHaddad Park and then Davis Park by city officials who objected to their overnight camping, they were offered the Shrewsbury Street location -- and shelter -- by the AFL-CIO.

Same here in my town, except for one hippie guy that stands out there with a sign some evenings (warmer evenings). I have a feeling they will be back when the weather warms back up.

You know I think the worst thing to happen to America was the invention of the hippies in the 1960’s.

I went to my Alma Mater The University of Michigan for the Ohio State Game.

I saw an Occupy Ann Arbor camp: Three tents!

I thought hell, they've occupied Ann Arbor since 1968!

That was when the young minds of our country were being filled with Leninism, Marxism, Communism.

They were led to believe that they should rebel against their government, and desire a society where all are equal (love, peace, whatever...) and skittles shoot out Unicorns butts. This unhappiness and desire to revolt against the current ‘society’ is all part of SUBVERSION, well laid out by Yuri Bezmenov.

Demoralization
Destabilization
Crisis -— This is where we are now
Normalcy -— this is after the communists assume complete control of the country and it’s resources, and make everybody equal. Well.... except for themselves, they are ‘more equal’. The hippie movement, along with other types of protest, will be gone.

“... the movement’s leaders asked them to take the tent down ... the location was too far off the beaten track to get the attention the demonstrators wanted.”

And that is a pithy summary of the sole actual purpose of ALL of the so-called “occupiers”: getting attention. Just like an eight year old at a party of adults who are ignoring him: “Hey, look at me, me, me, me.” No useful purpose for seeking attention; just seeking attention for the pure sake of getting attention.

You know I think the worst thing to happen to America was the invention of the hippies in the 1960’s.

I think the hippies were the useful tools of the progressive - dangle the concept of free love, mind-altering drugs and really cool music - in front of a bunch of dumb young people.

The roots of what we are seeing right now come to harvest were planted here a long time ago, and these people have been dedicated to the cause - they raised their children to be progressive, and then their children grow up to be Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, etc.

This "Occupy" generation is the fruit borne of those seeds planted so long ago. Their minions are about to rise up, in loud and mindless fury.

LOL. If Occupy Charleston are trust funders, they’re the only ones in the state.
