I had a similar experience just last month. I drove over a huge metal rod that punctured my tire and instantly flattened it. My tire guy fixed it for free!

God is Good!

Thats exactly what I thought. They tell us all the time that angels are all around us and I believe it. We don’t know who they are until they show up! Praise the Lord.

Thanks, Luv. He even stopped and found my hub cap. I suspect he saw it fly off and where it went. It was sorta nerve wrecking though. Maybe things bother me more than they used to! Thank goodness for our phones we carry with us!! With my hip problem, I can’t walk too far.

You had an angel, too! Not everyone is out to rip us off as we sometimes think.

I’m glad he was around and also glad that your family members were close enough to get there quickly. I would have been totally unnerved, too! I can walk ok, but not with my knees shaking like they would have been. :)

That's some experience you had! Glad you nor your car had any serious damage. Things in the road that can't be avoided most always do harm.

I had a CA Highway Patrolman stop for me once. Only time I ever had a flat and thankful for that. He said the same thing to me about 'that's why we're out here'. LEOs get a bad rap but I'm guessing there is a much bigger % who are kind and helpful to those in need than the ones who are power happy!

Thanks teenie. I will have to have the hub and new tire. I’m going to call my insurance man in the morning. That would be called a road hazard and I may have insurance for that but I will surely check. (I’ve been asleep already) so now I’m heading for bed, thank goodness.

See you tomorrow if the creek don’t rise!

Oh, Jaycee, I am So Thankful you are Allright!! My Heart is Thanking our Lord as I Type!
That Situation could have been So Much Worse, but our Savior's Hand was over you, Keeping Awful Possibilities from Happening.
And He Sent the Policeman to Care for you until your Son could Arrive; what a Wonderful Lord is ours!
I Love Him and am Praising Him, So Thankful for His Lovingkindness and His Grace.

My dear friend Kitty, You truly lift me up with your loving and comforting words. You always know just what to say when any of us are having troubles. I do thank the Lord for saving me from a horrible wreck. When I hit that thing, it sounded horrible and I think thats what scared me so bad. Of course I didn’t want my car damaged but my life was foremost (even I didn’t think so at that moment.)

Thank you for your (always) kind words and for making me feel a little easier. You’re one of a kind, my friend. ((((HUGS)))) May angels always protect you! We all need you in our lives.

Having a blow out is a scary thing, cause you can easily lose control of the car and if in traffic can be horrible...I would be shaking also...I have been lucky(or unlucky) with flat tires as they don't blow out, they get nails and go flat and you hear a thump de thump and know your in trouble...

We hear so much about bad cops its great to hear that many are good decent men that help out a lady when in trouble...also to follow up with a great letter to his commander is good, it goes into his file and is a good thing to do..GG

JC, as I read your story,
I got a feeling that tugged at my heart...
that you experienced a miracle!
I believe you had a Guardian Angel
Protecting you as you were driving!

Praise God you are safe!

Thanks, GG. I’m like you, the last time I had a flat, it just gently went down overnight. When I had it repaired, it had a big nail in it. Stuff happens. But when you’re driving along about 40 MPH and hit something and feel that shake, after hearing that thud. it is so unnerving!

I’ve always had respect for policemen and firemen as they risk their lives for us in the call of duty. We can’t let a few rotten ones ruin the good names of others. There’s more good than bad ones, thank goodness. See you later!

Absolutely, yorkie. You and I have talked about angels being around us all the time. I've always believed it but now I believe it even stronger. Not to prolong the thing but it sure could have been much worse. After something is over and you go to bed and think about it, it makes you even more nervous. But I just gave thanks to God that he once again pulled me through and prevented a worse situation. Thank you friend, for the lovely graphic and words. It means so much to me having true friends like you. ((((HUGS)))))

Don’t Laugh It Off

January 2, 2012

Driving a huge truck over the icy roads of northern Alaska would seem to be a task that requires a sense of humor. But when one driver heard another driver named Alex laugh often and rather loudly over the truck-to-truck communication system, he grew irritated. So he made some disparaging remarks about Alex and his good-natured guffaws.

Not long after that, the critical driver lost control of his big rig and ended up in a ditch—up to his axles in snow. And guess who came along the isolated road and saw his predicament? That’s right. Alex.

So, what would you do? Keep on trucking right past with a hearty laugh at the other guy’s trouble? That’s not what Alex did. He stopped and spent several hours helping dig his critic out. When he was done, he simply said, “Any opportunity I can have to make amends, I’m happy to do it.” And then, of course, he laughed.

What a lesson for all of us. Isn’t that what Christ commanded us to do in Luke 6—to help out even those who seem to be our enemies? The next time someone says something about you that you don’t like, think of Alex—and don’t just laugh it off. Do something positive for that person, and in so doing, you may make a friend.

Doing good to those who hate us,
Lord, is difficult to do;
Help us by Your grace to love them,
Praying they will turn to You. —Sper

A good example is the best sermon.

What a GREAT story you’ve told, jaycee. Blessings showered down on you in so many ways.

Three years ago Lin and I were leaving Spokane to head back home to California. I began to feel a pull to the right and I was losing power.

I pulled over to the side of the freeway and our right front tire was flat. I had to move suitcases and boxes to access the jack and spare tire.

I was about half done with the project when a Washington State Dept of Transportation truck pulled in behind us. The guy finished the job for us plus he checked the tire pressure on the spare and added some air. I couldn’t thank him enough for what he had done.

Five hours later we purchased and new tire and had it mounted. The doughnut spare was re-mounted underneath and we were on our way home - again.

I never knew DOT provided that service on the freeways.

This sounds as if it might be an Irish blessing.

A very nice blessing!
