EXETER, N.H. — At a Sunday evening campaign rally for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie clashed with “Occupy” protesters and called President Obama “the most pessimistic man I’ve ever seen.”

Christie, whose presence drew thousands to a local high school, said Obama was intentionally looking to exploit Americans’ anxiety and frustration with their government in “the most cynical re-election strategy you could ever think of.”

“He doesn’t care that you’re angry,” he said. “He just wants you to be angry at somebody else.”

When a group of Occupy Wall Street protesters tried to shout him down, Christie, who is well known for confronting his critics at town hall meetings, was happy to play along.

“Christie kills jobs,” the protesters chanted.

“Oh really?” Christie shouted, much to the crowd’s delight. “Something’s going down tonight, but it’s not going to be jobs, sweetheart.”

WATCH:

Christie said the protesters were confused by Obama’s failure to deliver on his campaign promises, and were victims of his attempts to divide Americans.

“I have a message for you, Mr. President. This is

Several weeks ago I watched on CSPAN the planning meetings of OWS in NH as to how they intended to disrupt the GOP primaries. They had detailed plans as to where, when, and how it would be done. This should come as no surprise. Look for them to follow the candidates around the primary circuit nationally.

ACORN and SEIU along with the WH are behind OWS. It is an arm of the Dem party.

Christie & Romney: Perfect together.

Two BIG government guys. Big business. Let’s swing the invadigration doors wide open for muslims, the peace-loving extremists. And anyone else who will work cheap. Never mind the tens of millions of American citizens out of work. Never mind the slow acceptance of shareea.

Cut the unions in for their deal. Cut big capital in. Bailouts. Keep the government involved in education. Healthcare. Forget about those “crazy” “social conservative” ideas. Republicans need to appeal to liberal independent voters. Mmmm, mmmm, good.

The establishment at it’s best.

(all this was /sarc, of course).

The sheeple had better wake up and dump Romney fast.

There is a lot about Christie I don't like, but I would definitely support him over ANY of our current pathetic candidates. He would take the fight to Obama and would connect with the swing voters like nobody else we have running.

Sure wish he could reconsider.

Perfect Bulldog for any candidate..right? He doesnt cow down and try to be all PC hoping the “kids and old hippies” will go away..he puts them back on their heels all confused as their lines are, as we know, unisonally programmed. The Great Coverage you just can't pay for no matter how much you have to spend in order to attract the attention of the media and on to the voters.

Can someone explain what he was saying here.

I would take it as Christie meant—Romney was going to the definite chosen one—that is what would be going down as “a fact”. As in, when “it goes down in history” scenario; but with a tougher delivery with the added “sweetheart”—a little tough guy “James Cagneyish” delivered humor...when you say it like it is, end of story. Capisci?

I think Christie may have meant something entirely different. I do agree he was trying to come off as a tough guy. But you don’t say going down to a female and call her sweetheart and mean going down as a fact.

Just my two cents.

I had another thought when I was out today regarding your question..in rethinking my answer-—but I lost it along the way. Had to do with jobs.... :(

If that going down is what I think you mean..lol I don’t think that was the intent. If it were, don’t you think the MSM would have a field day..perhaps The View folks? or ...I guess the rest have all been fired already by management.
