In addition, prevention is not the main focus of the pharmaceutical industry in the US. The reason is because they don’t make money when we are healthy. The same goes for the politician, i.e. they don’t get contributions when there is no crisis. Also, if the media did its job in reporting about the pharmaceutical industry they would not get the advertising funds from the pharmaceutical interests.

We've already seen this. OTC meds have become so watered down that they're worthless and now you have to sign to even buy them. At one time, don't know if it's still done, they kept ketone sticks behind the counter. Really? What the heck is dangerous about plastic sticks?

How else could they identify those who might not be eating according to the government food pyramid? Gotta keep them wheat-growers in business, don'cha know.

Actually I'm just waiting for the FDA to go after the supplements hard. The only goal of a bureaucracy is to preserve itself. It must keep finding new ways to expand its mission.
