The buzz today is Drudge's headline, "P@$$ed" and the associated Wapo blog
Most Freepers know that I'm as far from a conspiracy theorist as one gets. But this seems too convenient. You have:
a president whose polling is tanking, whose re-elect is deeply in trouble, and whose policies cannot possibly improve things in the next eight months;
a president who despises the military (there is a new book out by Michael Hastings, The Operators, reporting that Obama in Baghdad didn't want to shake any more soldiers' hands or sign books http://www.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeedpolitics/book-depicts-cranky-obama-on-baghdad-visit;
a president who desperately wants out of Afghanistan and Iraq and who has refused to take the recommendations of his senior generals;
and now, out of nowhere, a video of Marines "desecrating" the bodies of Taliban killers suddenly appears. (For the record, I seem to recall Patton urinating in the Rhine and it was cheered by the press. Also, for the record, I seem to recall Taliban/al-Qaeda types actually cutting off the heads of living Americans, and I'm supposed to get upset by urinating on the dead body of an enemy? Sorry, gotta meditate on that one).
Also for the record, to me the video is extremely staged. The bodies are neatly positioned, the Marines lined up, and obviously this wasn't spur-of-the-moment passion, er, erupting. At the end, the photographer apparently says, "Is that it?" So the video was meant to be released.
As I say, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but for an administration desperate to be hailed for something positive and desperate to radically reduce the size of the military, this little incident seems tailor made.
I have no problem with this...as long as they washed their hands afterwards.

If he’s been out of the military for a while then this video is old. Leading to the question of why it’s popping up now.
I wonder if it’s related to a GA judge requiring the HDOH to produce Obama’s original BC as well as the microfilm roll having Obama’s BC - and requiring Obama to produce his social security, passport, birth, citizenship, and college records. There is supposed to be a hearing in HI today where the HI Deputy AG is going to argue that HI doesn’t have to obey a subpoena from GA, which is contempt of court.
Last time the eligibility issue got heated Obama dumped a very bad forgery on us and then before the truth could get its shoes tied he filled the world with Bin Laden assassination stuff - including details about the SEALS that the SEALS themselves were saying could jeopardize their operations, staged photos of events that didn’t really happen, DNA “results” that existed before any test could have been done, refusals to disclose any proof that Bin Laden had actually been killed, and ultimately the retaliatory deaths of dozens of SEALS from the same unit as had done the alleged assassination.
I have no doubts - none - that Obama will use our troops for his own toilet paper, just like he used Agent Brian Terry for his own toilet paper - “collateral damage” in his quest for his own political agenda of destroying America.
If pissing on the dead is wrong, then let’s court-martial Barack Hussein Obama, because he’s been pissing on both the living and the dead for some time now, for his own amusement and agenda.
These are the things the Left does to try and emasculate the US military.
BTW, Feb. 2 is groundhog day and also the State of the Union speech.

I have the utmost respect for our fighting forces; I do volonteer work at the VA and have for years now. I wasn’t able to serve, but I try to help those that do.
All I can say is that assuming this video isn’t “made up”, it really makes me sad.

Which is why I keep wondering if a) these really were Marines, or b) it wasn’t a put-up job.
I think the explanation to all this is very simple - enlarged prostates.
Got to rouse the passions of the muzzies up before a terrorist attack don't you know.
That's the first thing that came to mind when this hit the news.....we are not going to see what is done to our troops by muslims for the most part...but our soldiers do...daily. These muslims were dead and gone...our guys are alive and tortured and beheaded by these beasts. I don't ever see any of our soldiers as guilty of anything that occcurs in a war zone...it's war...and this stuff is going to happen...that's just the reality of war.
Maybe they’re “Occupy Afghanistan” Marines.
