Rush was being honest.

Don’t try to stir something up.

One thing Newt has done is expose a lot of people for what they really are.

And EVEN WORSE, if Romeny were to get to the whitehouse, what talk show would dare criticize him?

God help us.

I made the Clear Channel connection weeks ago when Perry’s name was intentionally never spoken by Rush or Hannity or Levin. The worst hosts were Billy Cunningham and NitWit Todd Schnitt. They disrespected Governor Perry in the most vile manner. I think the Pretend Patriot Pied Piper, Glenn Beck, was the first to begin an assault on Perry all the while announcing how he couldn’t wait to move to Texas. All Clear Channel. I turned Beck off and have never listened to him again so I don’t know what the gentleman is peddling now. I’ve been extremely edgy as I listened to Rush because the Ross Perot parallel is extraordinary. Way back when Rush got summoned to the White House. Rush peddling Tea. Levin peddling books. Beck peddling books and an internet tv stationI. Hannity peddling concerts. I’m. sick to death of the so-called “patriots-on-radio” who never put a uniform on but disrespect a candidate who did (and that includes Ron Paul). It’s all becoming crystal Clear Channel. Follow the money. Rush, et tu?

I used to like manning. I purchased a coffe mug from his site a couple years ago and never received the mug.

I also never received a refund.

So much for what he thinks. As far as Rush goes, anything I have purchased from him, I received.

JUST WAIT until Pres. Romney has the power to put Bain in charge of the internet ... and healthcare.

Just wait.

LOL

I never miss Rush Limbaugh or Mark Levin—I listen live or catch their programs via podcast.

Rush and Mark are constantly harassed by both Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, AND Ron Paul supporters for NOT bragging or bragging enough about their guys.
Both obviously favor Rick Perry and Rick Santorum-the two REAL conservatives in the race...

...silly premise thread.

I don’t think Rush is “owned” by anybody, he has a large enough nest-egg to do whatever he wishes. That is why I’m pissed that he is sitting back while Mitt builds momentum and Rush is even helping him out. I know that Rush risks alientating some of his audience by picking one candidate over another, but he readily reams Paul so why can’t he ream Mitt who would be just as awful as a Pres. Paul.

Rush is a Clear Channel partner. He owns the controling interest in his own program, which is why every liberal effort to have him “fired” is doomed to failure.
Neither Romney or Clear Channel are telling Rush what to think or say.
Furthermore Rush had many favorable things to say about Perry before Perry entered the race.
I think Rush was sincerely upset with Newt last week for a reason, he doesn’t want to see him fail.

LOL. It is truly silly season. For the record, from a post by C. Edmund Wright on Friday ....

A: Rush could name his price to move to satellite tomorrow - something he has been begged to do for a couple of years.

B: Rush has more money than he will ever spend as it is now, and would never change his editorial bent for anyone for any reason because, well, he doesn’t have to. (new wife notwithstanding....)

C: If Rush and CC divorced tomorrow, Rush retires for a few days or weeks maybe with zillions in the bank. Or maybe retires. BUT - CC has a bunch of suddenly worthless radio properties, many with liens on them. Moreover, the Premiere Radio Network division loses a huge chunk if its revenue and leverage over night.

No, CC clearly needs Rush more.

And Howard Dean made money off of Rush via an investment in a radio station that carried Rush. (Pre-Premier)

Would one say that Rush "worked" for Howard Dean?

The video is a little more honest than the title. He states that Clear Channel owns the Rush syndication rights, as well as Hannity, Beck, etc., and he states that Bain owns Clear Channel, but he admits that Romney doesn’t run Bain anymore. Why the title, is not clear.

That is so much BOVINE EXCREMENT, as to smell to high heaven.

The reason Rush makes $50 M/yr is that he can (as he jokingly admits) charge "Confiscatory Amounts" for his advertisement, due to his large audience who in turn, purchase many of the products advertised on his program.

Wall St has nothing to do with Rush's success and can no more "Control" it (as this clueless MORON, whoever he is?) suggests, than they can control Barry Soetoro.

That Rush "works to Mittens" is so much of a stretch as to be laughable, but Mitt-bots and Paul-inistas will jump on this (as will the Lame Stream Media who are promoting a Mitt candidacy) and run with it.

Rush has been far from kind to Romney in this cycle. He has never over meddled in primaries, but throughout has spent much more time on the candidates with commitments to conservatism and inferred many problems with Romney. When it gets down to Romney’s surprise win in Iowa and the subsequent attacks on Romney’s business experience, Rush has really sharpened attacks on the other candidates because it is extremely uncomfortable watching our side take a decidedly leftward turn in rhetoric attacking private businesses for job cutting. Job cutting is a necessary part of saving a failing company. The left acts like one company cutting jobs is a travesty, but in the macro, these events are what allow for an overall strong economy and job environment. It is very disconcerting to observe Newt and Perry take this route. Rush has every right to criticize, especially when Romney’s record in politics is where the problems lie. South Carolina voters would turn against Romney in 1 second if the focus is on his MA record.

As for Rush, his business is completely independent of Clear Channel and Premier networks. He doesn’t work for them. They pay him. Rush set up his business so he answers to no one and now uses their services as distribution. They need him more than he needs them. His services are quite desirable to Clear Channel competitors, too.

The radiation from the nuke plant is effecting your reasoning, have you forgotten where you left your car keys recently?

Or in the land of the rising sun, your train pass and bike chain key?

Bain, Clear Channel need Rush, not the other way around.

Some of you need to take you tin foil hats off and put down the Kool Aid.

Clear Channel AND Bain make $$$ off from Rush's HUGE audience and Rush makes $$$ FROM ADVERTISEMENTS, and anyone who for one moment believes that Bain or Clear Channel has ANY control over the show's content or Rush himself, has just landed from Mars (or Venus if a female) and have NOT listened to Rush like some of us have for 20 + years.

Get a grip already and chill, especially all you Rush haters, Paul-Bots and Mittens supporters who are grasping at straws.
