worked at the Washington Navy Yard for a few years. My company had us parking in a spare lot BEHIND the projects. We had to walk thru the projects to get to our office.
within 1 year we had 3 armed robberies, 2 attempted rapes, and cars broken into every other day.
Friggin nightmare...I left for greener pastures south of the Potomac FOREVER!!!!!
I will NEVER work in DC for the rest of my life.
Even turned down lucrative job offers to work there.
NO WAY.
That whole ghetto outside the Navy Yard between M street and the Free way was razed when the new Nationals stadium was built. Heck there are high priced condos there now. You wouldn't recognize it anymore. West of South Capitol looks the same........
