This is young comedian jokes around about the lies about homeschooling. He nails it.
Messy Mondays: Seven lies about homeschoolers
ping, good, clean homeschool humor
I met the most wonderful home schooled young nurse when I was in the hospital.
Need to send that to my Parents and sisters so maybe they’ll stop with all those kinds of questions.
This ping list is for articles of interest to homeschoolers. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping List. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added or removed from either list, or both.
The keyword for the FREE REPUBLIC HOMESCHOOLERS FORUM is frhf.
I don’t homeschool, but I know families that do.
The greatest misconception I had years ago is the amount of time needed to homeschool. I assumed it was a full day, like public schools. The parents pointed out to me how much time is wasted in a normal class day - not only with pointless, nonsense lessons, but also, simply bringing slower kids up to speed and keeping class discipline.
That’s funny. He nailed it on his one about churches too.
For economic reasons, I continued school in public school and never learned another thing that I didn't teach myself or pay money for. I graduated high school a year early.
Public schools are the greatest waste of money and children that ever existed.

OMG my kids don’t get up at 6 AM, they do it the night before. What ever they can’t get done they make us help them with first thing in the morning so they can play in the snow.
Very cute! And....The last statement above is why parents who institutionalize their kids don't want homeschoolers around. Soon their kids are **begging** to to be ransomed from their prison-like existence.
Cute and talented guy.
I homeschooled my youngest off and on through his education. He wanted to go to High School to play Lax. He was way ahead in academics. He got a good score on the SAT after seventh grade. He could have started at the community college for nineth grade.
But, he was dying to play varsity sports.
Probably the best point made is that sitting in classrooms seven to nine hours a day in one-hour time blocks waiting for someone to tell you what to do is not life experience.

Absolutely. Public school kills children’s initiative, their love of learning, their natural curiosity, and makes them drones for life who cannot be really independent.
FOTFLOL!!!
Ain’t it the truth.
I can’t tell you how many neighborhood kids have asked me to homeschool them as well.
Kids HATE the public school system.
Almost done with our two. No regrets. In fact, I consider it our greatest achievement. But it wasn’t hard at all. Both kids have learned primarily on their own since age 10, just like we did in school, when you think about it. We are reaping the benefits now, as our teens are a piece of cake.
My wife’s personality is not a nurturing one, so she was not cut out for it. But she did it, with my help, God bless her. If she can do it, anyone can.

Last year I heard my daughter’s neighborhood girlfriend say to her, “when we’re older we can live next door to each other and homeschool our kids.” That made me feel good.
This year the same 12-year old girl attempted suicide (overdose) because of school bullying.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
