"Built to Last" is a (perhaps "the") major theme of tonight's State of the Union speech. "Built to Last" is also the name of the Grateful Dead's 13th and final studio album. The album cover shows a house of cards being built by the band members. Is this a coincidence, prophecy, tweak or what? I find it very strange. FReepers, please discuss.
“Built to Last”? You can bet your sweet bippie he isn’t talking about his company’s, Government Motors Volt.
What are we now, Ram trucks?
‘America, built to last 15 years’. Stellar.
I prefer: an economy crumbling fast.
We need suggestions and have the best meme to go viral
Weren’t the Dead heroin addicts? A fast and furious tie-dye in?
Some were. At least one member died from an overdose; another from alcohol-related problems.
That explains everything. Ann Coulter is a big fan of the Grateful Dead. Obama promised to name his SOTU speech after a Dead album in exchange for her endorsement of Mitt.
Mostly acid ... pigpen drank himself to death a-la Keith Moon.
I’ll drink your health
Share your wealth
Run your life
Steal your wife
Sure it’s not “Bilked at last”?
Jerry Garcia was a diabetic heroin addict. His cause of death should have been listed as suicide
Brent Mydland, third from the right, died from a drug overdose. I think it was the chili dogs that got Jerry.
One of my favorite bands. I’m glad I got to see them a handful of times in Sacramento before Jerry got his role in Half Baked.
