Do not know. I read, watch, research à lot, keep open mind, look at each with devils advocate attitude.
Grew up in political family, great uncle was Speaker of House of Rep.
In TN.
My dad would always play the devils advocate roll, get folks so mad,
believed him. I do not close my mind, keep searching.

Newt has so much baggage, the dens can destroy him and they will.
Romney and Santorem can be hurt but

Thanks for the link. Listening now. I could do without the niceties at the beginning to Obama, but oh well, I guess he can’t say what I’m thinking about Obama.

I agree. In the GOP primary anyone who has show a trace of bold ideas has had a boomlet although none closed the deal. People are longing for someone who will inspire and lead us. Daniels is a nice and honorable man. We need more than that.

Both the GOP establishment and the ‘rats should take a long hard worried look at the traction that the truly preposterous Ron Paul has achieved. I don’t think Paul is a monster just a crank. They may get a real monster soon if they don’t start listening to the discontent in this country from both sides of the spectrum.

The rules of the campaign, and the vicious press prevent the alpha male from ascending. Any bold, William Wallace type might leave more than a few skeletons in his closet, so he would never make it by the personal scandal loving media.

That sounds more like someone who doesn't like Newt trying to "rationalize" why he can't win and who accepts the "baggage" argument at face value. Was leaving it hanging with the final "but" a ploy to make us think you have some rational thoughts that you won't share?

This flash-over-substance mentality Americans have is destroying this country.

Frankly, I like a serious green-eyeshade, red-pencil guy for President. I support Newt now, but if Daniels were running I’d have been all in for him.

His words might have been good, but the delivery left a lot to be desired. And for those who said he looked like Bob Newhart, I agree. Bobby Jindal’s words were good, too, but his delivery was pathetic.

That’s a very low bar to overcome.

Who the heck cares about his delivery? The one area where he needs to deliver is in his job, and according to the people of his state, he has delivered.

I, and millions of other people, care about results and not about the entertainment value of a speech. That’s the realm of the stupid, and the stupid got caught up with that silliness in 2008 when they elected someone with more charm than experience or knowledge. If you want entertainment and fluff, then perhaps you’re not looking for someone that can deliver where it counts, and that’s in governing.

As it stands right now, Mitch is not going to be president, but perhaps as vice-president he can start assisting in getting the country out of the disaster being brought upon it by the democrats.

Not at all.

Jindal has still been able to perform effectively in his state, and he hasn’t sought national office yet in order to test his “delivery” skills. Judging a person from one speech is not the way to judge the person’s skills overall.

All I heard after Jindal’s speech, and I’m from Louisiana, is that this speech took him out of the running for president or vice-president. I’m sure Mitch Daniels will still be the same governor he was before his speech. I have heard a lot of praise for its content, and I agree with that. It’s his milquetost delivery and his bland appearance to which I’m referring.

You’re still talking about fluff over substance.

Like I said, if you want someone with good delivery, or who can fake it, then you should feel very comfortable with keeping Obummer in place.
