Leahy is one of the most useless, disgusting, evil members of the Senate.
I recall several years ago when one of Bush’s appointments to head an important bureau was in front of Leahy’s gaggle. This man had written a book that was extremely critical of the ever growing menace of the central socialist government and had expressed his intense dislike of the body.
Leahy lashed into him like the cheshire cat he truly is with smirking, smacking his large lips and saying “I am the exact opposite of you. I love my government.”
There wasn’t much in the way of expression on the ‘appointee’s’ face as he knew the inquisitor was an animal.
