I dunno, reminds me of the lady on “Airplane” who said, “I speak jive” - just using language that conveyed a meaning he could understand.
I think it was one of the funniest movie scenes ever! Of course, that's because using Barbara Billingsley, Beaver Cleaver's "Mom," was casting genius. It would not have been nearly so funny if someone else had been in the part.
The humor of hearing "Mrs. Cleaver" speaking jive is probably lost on the younger generation, however.
If I'm not mistaken, Florida is a Castle Doctrine state. When ThugBaby jumped the fence into the lady's yard, he broke a law by entering onto her private property uninvited (that's aside from the drug and theft laws he had apparently already violated).
Now, you have a young (from the picture) athletic (he was running and jumped the fence) male thug and an older (64) probably not terribly athletic female. In a physical altercation, who is going to win and who will lose? So, according to my understanding of the law, the homeowner had every right to hold him at gunpoint, and, in fact, would have also been well within her rights to have shot him had he made a move towards her. (She would have been foolish not to have shot him had he made a move towards her).
ThugMama is lucky she's not planning a funeral.
Granville said she's been shooting guns her entire life, but it was previous drug deals and a murder on her street that motivated her to arm herself to keep her family safe."They'll shoot you, they'll break in. They'll get whatever they want, and I says it's not going to happen to me because I will shoot them," Granville said.
That perp finally made a good choice - he was very close to meeting his maker! Man, if that was me, I’d need a change of underwear right then and there.
I’d love to hear what kind of firearms training she has had and what her practice schedule is. I got a hunch both were/are at a good level. But yeah, the M*F* was kinda the icing on the cake!
