VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla.
A 64-year-old Daytona woman didn't hesitate to pull a gun on a suspected car thief whom she caught running from deputies, WFTV learned on Wednesday.
Investigators said Roderick Willis was a wanted fugitive and was being tracked by a sheriff's helicopter.
The helicopter had a spotlight on him as he ran along the side of Karen Granville's home and into her backyard.
However, before he could climb the fence, Willis came face-to-face with Granville, who pointed a gun right at his face and said, "Don't you move mother f*****, I will shoot you! I will shoot you where you stand!"

Guy looks like a waste of perfectly good carbon.
Gun-control-freak liberals would prefer she was beaten, raped, then strangled instead, and the thief given a fair trial and released in a couple years. He’s just a product of his environment, afterall. A victim of kapitalism. Traumatized from an early age by greedy CEO’s. Guns are dangerous, and the only way to stop gun violence is to ban them. Criminals who normally disobey the law will respect it in this case. If they don’t, it’s probably because they’re Republicans.
And unable to *read* her *No Trespassing* sign.
**This is the second time in less than two weeks older city residents have armed themselves to stop would-be criminals. **
.....I like this trend.
She looks like she means it!!
Well, we could let the lefties try by banning any TV or movie depictions of Explosives, Firearms, Alcohol or Tobacco.
Unfortunately in some states you can be charged for just carrying a pocket knife.
Video at article link...she recreates how she apprehended the criminal...worth a look.
“She looks like she means it!!”
...and she speaks a language he most assuredly understands.
She knows the language!
And that's a S&W alloy-framemodel 37just like mine.
Well done, Ms, Granville!!!
Now THAT`s an American!
No crack in that loser`s brain..nooooooo...
Just saw the interview with the suspect’s mother. She was absolutely indignant that the lady pointed a gun at her son. Claimed the lady had no right, the son didn’t break any law, wasn’t going to hurt her, blah, blah, blah. In other words the usual bs.
Yeah, what I was thinking. Good work, but jeez....
OTOH, I am very much a lady and despise foul language, but I have never been in a situation like this. Perhaps, that is an effective way to let a thug know that a woman with a gun means business.
she sounds fierce! m@****(@@@er lol!!!
Good on her.
LOL Yes it always helps when you speak Ebonics.
He definitely understood her. LMAO.
I dunno, reminds me of the lady on “Airplane” who said, “I speak jive” - just using language that conveyed a meaning he could understand.
I think it was one of the funniest movie scenes ever! Of course, that's because using Barbara Billingsley, Beaver Cleaver's "Mom," was casting genius. It would not have been nearly so funny if someone else had been in the part.
The humor of hearing "Mrs. Cleaver" speaking jive is probably lost on the younger generation, however.
If I'm not mistaken, Florida is a Castle Doctrine state. When ThugBaby jumped the fence into the lady's yard, he broke a law by entering onto her private property uninvited (that's aside from the drug and theft laws he had apparently already violated).
Now, you have a young (from the picture) athletic (he was running and jumped the fence) male thug and an older (64) probably not terribly athletic female. In a physical altercation, who is going to win and who will lose? So, according to my understanding of the law, the homeowner had every right to hold him at gunpoint, and, in fact, would have also been well within her rights to have shot him had he made a move towards her. (She would have been foolish not to have shot him had he made a move towards her).
ThugMama is lucky she's not planning a funeral.
Granville said she's been shooting guns her entire life, but it was previous drug deals and a murder on her street that motivated her to arm herself to keep her family safe.
"They'll shoot you, they'll break in. They'll get whatever they want, and I says it's not going to happen to me because I will shoot them," Granville said.
That perp finally made a good choice - he was very close to meeting his maker! Man, if that was me, I’d need a change of underwear right then and there.
I’d love to hear what kind of firearms training she has had and what her practice schedule is. I got a hunch both were/are at a good level. But yeah, the M*F* was kinda the icing on the cake!
