LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak has said in a broadcast interview that he and fellow host Vanna White were drunk when they taped some early episodes of the show, but that he is too old for that now.

Sajak explained that during the production of those "Wheel of Fortune" shows, he and co-host Vanna White would take two and a half-hour breaks while prizes were loaded onto the set in Burbank, California. So, they would go to a nearby restaurant and have "great margaritas," he said.

"Vanna and I would go across and have two or three or six (margaritas), and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet," Sajak said on the program.

I am probably the only man alive, to have read her autobiography.

I wanted to learn why the media hated her so much, and it turned out to be just as I thought, she is nice.

I think I was drunk when I watched it because I hardly remember it. I once did a business transaction for one of her ex boyfriends who said she used him like a rented mule.

One of my neighbors here in Hollywood once worked for Sajak in Studio City and he’s a Vietnam vet like he was. He’s pro-America as they come, and would always treat his staff like they were family. Usually, producers would treat their staff like Democrats treat Christians but Sajak was known to treat his employees once a month to a nearby resto to unwind.

Oh yeah, she saw Vanna White without make-up during late 90’s and she was drop-dead gorgeous even w/o make-up.
