Senator and former House member Lindsay Graham Praised Newt Gingrich on Greta
February 1, 2012 | Ralph Mitchell

Posted on 02/01/2012 7:46:18 PM PST by mitchell001

Graham said that what Gingrich did as Speaker back in the 90's while Bill Clinton was President was something to praise and appreciate. Graham was in the House while Gingrich was Speaker. This points out something to me. Truth is very important. It should be. For Santorum and Romney to cloudy the truth about Gingrich to garner votes is despicable. During the month of February, the Truth about Gingrich's legislative and conservative success will be clarified. Also, the Truth about Santorum's spotty success and spotty conservatism will be clarifies. Lindsay Graham has begun the Gingrich clarification.

Looks like the survey results are in and Fruit Loop Graham has figured out that not supporting Newt was a bad idea. He's just another Vichy Republican, pretending to be looking out for Republicans but in reality playing the Pan Flute with the fascists every evening.

For somebody who doesn’t know anything about those days, it cleared up a lot for me. I don’t care who said it, it will enlighten a lot of people I know, too, who just don’t get what they are talking about... Lindsay said “now I understand” and now he sees how tough you have to be to change DC... it was excellent. I have already sent out a stream of emails asking if anyone knows where they can get a youtube or transcript of it... It was that important to me, and will make a big difference to a lot of people I am trying to bring along in their understanding of Newt... I have always thought anybody dealing with Boehner and ilk on a daily basis, would probably go crazy, this speaks to that...

If we are to have any of the constitution remaining for the next generation, Ms. Lindsay, Mr. McLame’s girlfriend, must go, South Carolina! Get rid of him! Don’t be fooled by his lies close to the election! That is how we ended up with his Mittens loving boyfriend for SIX more years of backstabbing!

Dick Cheney also had high praise for Newt in his book, “In My Time.”

I forget the correct term, but, isn't Linsdey Graham the only member of the impeachment ‘group’ (finder of facts), that is still in the Congress?

Now I am not in anyway a fan of Linsdey Graham but at least he is willing to acknowledge history. So many of the ‘proud’GOP establishment would not have the career they have had it not been the success of the ‘Contract with America’ that nationalized the Congressional elections in 1994. And thus far NOT one of the characters that took leadership positions after Newt was forced out accept responsibility for their failures. NOT ONE!!!!!

Wasn't Mitt Romney still a democrat, and Santorumn a pup in the Senate back in 1994. Warts and all the lesson I learned from Newt is that individually each citizen is endowed by the Creator with specific ‘rights’. And to never accept the deception that a majority or minority, a judge or president has authority to give or take these rights.

Newt did great things in 1994. He is a brilliant man. He might even be a great President. However, he is just as likely to be a terrible, destructive force, holding back conservatism for years to come. He is too unpredictable and has too many skeletons for today’s media environment. Sorry, its the truth.

Very strange.

He joined Juan McCain in attacking Newt and helping Mitt at the crucial moment. Now, when it’s a day too late, he comes out on the other side.

I wonder what this means. I can’t imagine a poodle like Lindsay doing this unless the usual suspects told him to.

Are they afraid that Gingrich might tank after his defeat, and want to keep him in the race to divide the conservative opposition to Romney?

Frankly, the last thing I would expect is for Lindsay to finally see the light and do the right thing.

I think he’s figured out that Milt is not the slam dunk that the media & GOP-e keep telling us he is. Since Rick Santorum and Wrong Paul have almost no chance of being nominated, that leaves Newt. Guess he doesn’t want to be on the wrong side of our next president.

IMO he saw the shellacking Newt was getting with false information...Think his constituents may have given him an earful. Around here the “throw them all out” attitude is very vocal. He was not only contrite, but took responsibility for his actions SURPRISE
