Prayer Request (Please and Thank You!)

My oldest son, Michael (Mick) who just turned 27 last month, has been a Type 1 Diabetic with zero pancreatic function (and all the complications which that implies) since he was 12 years old.
About an hour ago, we received a call from the IU Medical Center Transplant Team, where he has been on the recipient list for about a year. They have a possible donor.
Mick is now en route to Indianapolis to begin the pre-op at 7AM.
Your prayers would be appreciated for both my son and for the salvation of the soul of the potential donor, who has just passed from this life.

Praying for a good recovery and that Mick’s body will accept the foreign organ gracefully. Praying that his doctors hands and minds are steady.
Praying for the family of the donor, may they feel some comfort knowing their family member is giving life to (hopefully) several other people including Mick!

Dear Heavenly Father, We pray on behalf of our brother, Mick. Lord, please guide the surgeons with knowledge and skill. Make Mick’s body whole and healed. Please be with the family and we pray that they feel Your love and compassion. We also pray, Lord, for the soul of the person who selflessly donated his organ to Mick. May he or she rejoice with You in their act of kindness and love. May peace be bestowed upon the family of the deceased with the hope that they accept one death and rejoice in the saving of another brother or son. In This I Pray. Amen.

Prayers that Michael’s body accepts the donor kidney without complications.
A friend’s daughter is doing quite well with the kidney she received more than a year ago.
