In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Minatory
Adjective
Adverb: minatorily
[French minatoire, from Late Latin mintrius, from Latin mintus, past participle of minr, to threaten; see minacious.]
Hump Day is here, rise and shine!
of course, this could be exactly where the word originated...
LOL A++
Alternate definition: A British loyalist from St. Paul
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

As Iran gets ever more minatory
Would Obama choose to win a gory
War for salvation
Against this rogue nation
Or just b.s. and spin a story
A+++ It’s about time the Christians banned together for our country.
Thank you, Virtual high fives
Is that before or after he bows low to them? I don’t believe he would get the chance to stand back up.
A+++
As Tim Geithner lied before congress, one senator accused him of giving mendacious answers. Geithner frowned darkly and replied, “Would you prefer minacious answers? Because that’s what’s coming next.”
Obama’s minacious attack on the Catholic and Evangelical churches has backfired, although silver tongued, Cardinal designate Dolan still insists the dialogue is conciliatory. (read NOT!)

Huh....I would prefer the truth, can’t we just give them truth serum when they testify?
A....no pluses.....you used another word, though they mean the same. Minacious is much more common a word than minatory.
Dolan is a useful tool for his democrat Catholic shills...Biden is another.
A.....same reasoning for your grade as your classmate...were you copying? LOL
Boy, Mr B got an A++ for posting a picture of a Minotaur! I got a mere A for using minacious instead of minatory!
Minatory.
Definitely foreign so most rules don’t apply, minatory is one those real short Brit politicians of the Tory party (and from what I hear they can par—tee!)
Also when used in the byocidial field minatory can mean birds that fly south in the winter. Migratory birds get arrested and sent back home.
RME....A++
