Well done. Your work always makes me feel peaceful and gives me the desire to go camping along an ocean.

Thank you....

I liked them all, but the Humming bird is my favorite.

That is awesome. After seeing your first pic, I convinced my two young grandsons that they needed to put up a Hummingbird feeder right outside my window this weekend.

It’s too early in the year, but it will be there when it’s time. I own some killer camera gear and I should be able to get some very nice pic’s.

Thank for the inspiration.

Aw shucks...good luck. Replace the food weekly, they’ll love it and reward you accordingly.

Some of those shots dare I say border on stunning.

How much, if any post-processing do you do?

I am impressed! My luck shooting birds against the sky has been pretty poor. I always seem to end up with a silhouette against the sky.

Do you overexpose and then underexpose background?

That is beautiful!

I immediately thought of Eddie Richenbacher (sp?) and his going to the beach on Friday nights to feed the seagulls. He must have been there, at least in spirit!

I found an interesting thread on Flickr about taking pictures of flying birds. A lot of good advice on the thread. See: Link.

I've been having difficulty taking pictures of ducks and other birds that fly by fast, which is why I searched for help. Most of the time the bird I'm trying to take a picture of ends up not in focus. The slower moving ones and the bigger ones I can get -- the fast ones and the small ones are tougher, particularly if there is a lot of background clutter behind them. The camera ends up focused on the clutter rather than the bird if I'm not careful.
