All civilizations fall. This one will fall too. You weren’t at its birth but you are at its passing, a reason to drink up and celebrate.
For a quarter century I’ve been thinking the Reagan revolution was America’s second wind. It was just a momentary blip, apparently...and maybe not even an honest one since it was bought with deficit spending and nice speeches. Reagan did give some great speeches though. They STILL fire me up and make me think anything is possible. Maybe I’ll listen to one tonight.
