BAIT & SWITCH - Booked 7 day Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean on Cruise.com for $1,108 for 4 passengers. I clicked the "Agree & Book" after entering all our personal info, including passports. Got a call saying they sold out and wanted to sell me 2 cabins for over $1,300 each, $2600. They told me they cruise line must have just sold out so I kept them on the phone and booked it again at the same rate, same results. Tells me it's computer glitch they've been dealing with all morning.
The only time you can get a price like that on a RCL ship, is on the Tuesday specials a week before sailing. I know nothing about cruise.com, I use a travel agent for all my booking about year in advance, so I can get the stateroom I want.
Cruises generally charge a $100 a night for inside rooms per person.
We have generally done much better than that. What is bothersome about what happened today is that we did this over & over again and got the same results, “Oh, they just sold out!” and then giving us the more than double rate. Then they would try to tell us that was the rate for 1 cabin for 2 people when clearly it stated cruise fare for 4. If it “just sold out” why do they keep showing this rate?

Never....never buy BAIT from a cruise line. Go to a place like I go to: "Bubba's Lingerie and Live Bait Boutique".
