Pro Flowers Answers My "I'll Never Use You Again" Email
Pro Flowers "We Care" email | 3/7/2012 | SFF

Posted on 03/07/2012 9:49:32 AM PST by SoFloFreeper

I sent Pro Flowers an email telling them I'll never buy Sherrie's Berries or Pro Flowers again. And I said it was because of their poor treatment of Rush Limbaugh, a GREAT AMERICAN.

Here is the short response I just got back:

"Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate your email and thank you for openly expressing your opinions. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared with our team."

I e-mailed NETFLIX.....and here's what I rec'd

Netflix has not and does not purchase advertising on the Rush Limbaugh show. We do buy network radio advertising and have confirmed that two Netflix spots were picked up in error as part of local news breaks during the Rush Limbaugh show. We have instructed our advertising agency to make sure that this error will not happen again.

I agree that Proflowers is horrible and it’s a good thing that they left a slot open for another advertiser. I only wish Rush could pick advertisers whose products were truly pleasing but I think he has been selling to the highest bidder. If he got some feedback on the actual products he allows to advertise and chose them based on both rate and quality, then he could grow his network of affiliates and keep his profit margins even.

I look at Trader Joes and Whole Foods as companies that are obsessed with quality of product whereas TJs is also obsessed with getting prices down. These companies are growing in the midst of one of the worst economies of our lifetime.

Surely Rush can take a little time out and start to be more selective.

As for flowers, I always search the internet for a local florist, not a chain but someone I can talk to on the phone and I always ask them to send me a digital photo of the arrangement. I have never missed the mark using this approach.

But Proflowers is as you say deceptive and yes they will spam you and cookie you until you scream out loud.

I got the same response. Translation: We do not give a shiite about what you think and have deleted your message.

Unlike the times I've told WaPo or NYT to bite me... ProFlowers is actually losing money on me as I have spent considerable amounts of money on them in the past and will do so no longer.

“I can’t stand Proflowers. I made the mistake of buying something from them -— what came was not remotely as advertised and there were all sorts of hidden fees.”

I ordered flowers for my wife once from them. Never again.

They sent the wrong flowers and had the wrong note enclosed. So I suppose they had my order mixed up with someone else’s order. I continued to get spam from them for a long time, too.

I can’t stand Proflowers. I made the mistake of buying something from them -— what came was not remotely as advertised and there were all sorts of hidden fees.

I fell for one of their $19.95 "specials," and, in all seriouslness, by the time I had to add shipping, delivery on time, etc., the bill was almost $50.

So, I certainly won't miss this a$$holes.

I will not buy anymore from you. This whole Rush Limbaugh issue is the reason why. I didn't think Rush should have called her that and it was extremely uncalled for. Yet when a company pulls from a show I listen to I have the right not to buy its products anymore and will not be. That was my email. I just sent it this morning no response yet.

When I worked on Capitol Hill, the standard response at the end of all letters was “your concerns will receive the attention that they deserve”(meaning,”stop bothering me; I only need constituents for fund raising and November votes”)

Considering the almost 15 percent drop on the NASDAQ, I’d venture Carbonite is one of those companies asking to be allowed to advertise.

I don’t how much of a say Rush really has in who advertises on his show, but I think he’ll take the time to rub it in for whomever is allowed back.

I got the same canned response from them, along with ProPlants and Sherri’s Berries. I simply told them that since they dropped Rush, I was dropping them. I wished them luck with the liberal boycott from folks who never buy anything but have lots of time to complain and whine.

I shot them back an e-mail saying that was BS because they continue to advertise on shows with liberal hosts that have attacked conservative women in the same manner and that was all I needed to know about their company.

Here is the short response I just got back:

Here is a more truthful response that you should have got back:

"Dear Dumba$$. We wish you wouldn't waste your time and tie up our auto-response software by bothering us with your opinions. We are libtards throughout our organization ... after all, how many pansies do you think we employ to cut, arrange and wrap pansies. We advertise on Rush because a lot of people listen to the ads on his show, and are dumb enough to believe that his advertisers must be trustworthy because he is. Boy is that a crock! We only dropped Rush because of our desire for lots free publicity. We will be back as soon as this tempest in a teapot blows over. Meanwhile, we will enjoy the support of loyal leftists everywhere. We are counting on mindless conservative cretins such you having a short attention span and nonexistent memory. So hurry up and forget our actions. Until then, please rest assured that your feedback has been noted and will be laughed at by our team."

I was listening to Rush this morning during my lunch break and at 1131 CST, I heard a commercial for Go to Meeting by Citrix.

I have a slightly different take on ProFlowers. For one, let’s not forget that they still support Hanity and other conservative shows. No doubt they knee-jerked on this issue, but I bet they come back.

Secondly, I have had no problems with them...for everyone bitching about the extra fees (delivery, care, tax, etc.), please show me a floral service that does not tack these on. They have ALWAYS gotten my order right, and my girl says the product has always been terrific.

Rush needs to get advertisors who wouldn’t buckle to this crap. Like the NRA.

When I buy flowers for my wife, I usually buy them at Walmart. They sell so many that they are always fresh and look great for at least 10 days. Price is right, too.
