Obviously. The US has the largest per capita golfer in the world (my PGA handbook says so lOL). Now that Rory McIlroy is # 1 in the world, no American golf nut gives a damn. The last star of the golfing world is Woods and he’s the reason why people tune in.

Now when I talk about “stars” , I don’t talk about “manufactured stars” like say, George Clooney. Like what an agent recently told me here in L.A., “If George Clooney is such a star, how come his movies have been box office flops?” The logic is simple, if you are a movie star, people PAY and watch your movies but in his case like Sean Penn, no one watches them except for liberal morons.

Yes but the Tiger Worship resulted in bigger tournament purses and more TV coverage, and it ultimately benefited every Tour pro.
