When I was going through Watergate, my life was threatened repeatedly. And in the early years of my ministry with Prison Fellowship, the authorities had to monitor various individuals who had made threats against me.
So I am no stranger to hit lists and threats.
But, it seems like I’ve made another list — and frankly, I’m surprised, though, as I’ll explain, I guess I shouldn’t be.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, with the misleading acronym GLAAD, has placed 36 commentators, yours truly among them, on its Commentator Accountability Project list.
GLAAD’s press release goes on to say that everyone on the list has expressed an “extreme animus towards the entire LGBT community.” Its website accuses those on the list of “violent anti-LGBT rhetoric.”
We have called all sinners — gay and straight — to repentance in Jesus Christ.
So, yes, I’m surprised I made the list. But sadly, I realize I shouldn’t be. For one thing, this type of intimidation is par for the course for many in the so-called gay-rights movement. Not interested in dialogue, they seem more interested in demonizing and shouting down their opponents.
For another, their definition of “gay bashing” is skewed. For them, anything short of renouncing the historical Christian teaching on sexuality is akin to hate. If I say that homosexual sex is a sin, they say I’m hateful. Yet I also say that pre-marital sex is a sin, as is drinking too much. Is that hateful, too?
I can’t speak for the others on this latest list, but I for one, will not be intimidated into silence. No matter what list I make!

I like a man who won’t apologize for being right.
Those involved in homosexual behavior are basically immature and out of control. They are like the lady who protests too much. Their pathetic ploy to describe themselves as “gay,” as “GLAD,” and as “proud” are a loud, bitter cry for help. Only the Stewart Smilies of the world describe themselves that way.
Did your mother and father tell you to run around telling everyone you meet how gay (in the actual sense) and proud you are of YOURSELF? They’d be raising an obnoxious bore and a monster narcissist.
Whose grandparents would have urged them to tell everyone they meet and even those they have yet to meet what they like to do or think about doing in the privacy of their bedroom? In today’s brainwashed society, discretion doesn’t play into the choice and broadcasting such information, when it is of the same sex kind, is urged by “progressive” clergy, school administrators, teachers, and even so-called “parents.”
There is a phrase for this: child abuse.
They called your Master “Beelzebul,” Chuck, so you shouldn’t be surprised they call you a “hater.” Say it loud and say it proud: Sodomy is a sin!
I’ll be on that list someday myself! And I will proudly proclaim my solidarity with you!

Yes, the Sex Positive Agenda, as advocated by Kinsey, Reich, and socialist feminists, makes it clear that they seek to end ALL moral judgments over ALL sexual pairings regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partner(s).
Some in the Sex Positive movement specifically call out Christianity as being "Sex Negative".
If you do not atone for your "sins" of "hate" and convert to their hedonistic philosophy, you will be targeted as a "violent" extremist (who holds views that have lasted for 2,000 years).
Always like the comment about Colson, “He’ll grab them by the balls for Nixon, imagine what he’ll do for Christ.” or words to that effect.
Chuck Colson turned his life around.
Many who were once criminal, wrong, lost, and evil change their ways.
Chuck makes a good point about the militant homosexuals.
Too many (sadly, sometimes we see this in our community, too) so-called Christians are unwilling to forgive or dialogue—showing the same bad behavior as the people apparently threatening Chuck Colson’s life.
Chuck rightly says he calls all to follow Christ and repent of their sin. God bless him.
He did, indeed. Although perhaps Chuck would say (and having read his autobiography Born Again I might say on his behalf), Chuck repented but God turned his life around." I'm sure, considering the evident spiritual wisdom contained in your post, that I'm merely "splitting hairs."
I am reminded, though, of the story Stuart McBernie told on himself about twenty-five years ago. As a confused young believer he wrote to CS Lewis and asked, "Exactly how does Christianity save?" Here was Lewis's entire reply: "Christianity does not save. Christ saves."
It’s quite an honor to make this list. It means you are the polar opposite of the Marxists.
