Van Jones: Death to the 'great white suburbs'
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 | Kristinn

In a speech with racist overtones given at the Hawaii Capitol Tuesday evening attended by Governor Neil Abercrombie (D), former Obama appointee Anthony K. "Van" Jones spoke at a rally to promote so-called economic justice and fairness by legislating a green energy State Partnership Bank about his being glad that (according to Jones) the'great white suburbs' of the American dream are 'dying.'

Jones' speech was reported by Malia Zimmerman of The Hawaii Reporter:

In his keynote, Jones did not directly address the bank legislation or other legislation pending in Hawaii. Instead he spoke of the dream being “under threat.”

“Not the American dream they talk about on TV,” Jones said. “There are two American dreams. One of them I call the ‘American fantasy.’ You know that one? Everyone is going to be rich. Everybody. And we're all going to be able to ride out to the great white suburbs, get a McMansion, get flat-screened TV to cover up the holes in our lives. That is the American fantasy, which is turning out to be the American nightmare. It is dying out on its own accord - it deserves no defense and it will get no defense. I am glad that is going away. That was not serving anybody.”

Since being forced out of the Obama administration in 2009 after his radical leftist politics were exposed, Jones has tried to portray himself as a 'happy warrior', even going so far as to tell his nemesis Glenn Beck, whose reports on his then Fox News Channel show publicized Jones' radicalism, that he loved Beck.

At his speech in Hawaii, Jones' happy warrior facade fell as he addressed his fellow radicals, accusing his political opponents of being bigots who 'hate' and 'despise' their fellow Americans:

“I was there for 6 months. Best 6 months of my life, followed by the worst two weeks. ... What I saw there is why I am here today. I saw some of the most beautiful people, some of the most well intentioned people, some of the smartest people ever to serve in our government, be stopped in their tracks, stopped in their tracks, by people who mean us no good. People who claim to be patriots but seem to hate everybody in America.”

And:

“That always struck me as strange. When I said I love America, I mean I actually love the people in America - the people who live in America. Some of them are brown, some of them are female, some of them are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, some of them have bizarre piercings and tattoos, but I love them. How can you say you love America but then despise most of the people who live here. I don't understand that politics. I don't understand how you can say you love America and love the Statute of Liberty, but then not read the poem at the bottom that says "Give me your tired, Give me your poor, Give me your huddled masses who yearn to breathe free." The way I was raised. You can't be an anti immigrant bigot and a patriot at the same time. They don't go together. They don't go together. Not in my America. They don't go together.”

Ten-and-a-half years ago Jones organized a rally the day after the September 11 terror attacks where Jones and other speakers cheered the attacks that killed nearly 3000 Americans and foreigners on American soil.

A capitalist looks at the wealthy man and says, “Every man should have as much.”

A socialist looks at the wealthy man and says, “No man should have so much.”

The scenario you outlined nearly happened to some family members living in Detroit in 1968.

8 Mile Road is the dividing line between the city and the suburbs. The rioting got out as far as 6 Mile. Two more miles and they would have met a wall of heavily armed suburbanites who were waiting for them.

WRONG! You Communist Pig! (Jones)

His problem is he doesn't have the slightest idea of what values and foundation this, the greatest nation on earth, was built.

The American Dream is about the individual freedom to succeed at the level you desire based on your talent, dedication, hard work, perseverance, etc. HIS belief is that the American Dream was suppose to be about EVERYBODY getting rich. And that's why it fails, all or nothing.

Instead? He wants everyone to WANT TO change their expectations and standard of living. In his world, Europeans are happy living in 500 SF and sharing a restroom and showers with their neighbors. Why can't Americans quit being so selfish? If they would just lower their expectations they would be happier.

He should be expatriated.

Mr. Jones should check out my suburban street. We have a a few different skin tones, we all get along really well, we all have nice houses, AND we all work hard each day to keep them. We expect nothing from anyone else but ourselves.

I don't think he has a clue. Under the redistributionist policies of the Pelosi Congress followed by the Obamanation -- well, if life in suburbia has become difficult --- it must be really, really, really awful in the 'hood!

“He should be expatriated.”

Where? Here’s my $10 toward a cattle car for him and his scummy, racist, hate-America ilk.

I left the suburbs 16 years ago, and moved further out to the country 2 years ago. I love it and 10$ a gallon gas will never change it!

What does Van Jones' WHITE WIFE think about all this?

If you visited where Van Jones was reared, you'd couldn't find a more racist white hating area of the country. If there is any urban unrest, the whites better be armed to the teeth.

Van Jones is only the big mouth. There are millions like him out there.

The “Fred on Everything” article you cited appears to have been written several years ago.

A lot of that sort of thing was getting very common last summer in the urban plantations.

I would expect this summer to make last summer look good.

I almost eagerly await the coming civil war. These cretins seem to forget which on side the vast majority of the public, including most veterans and military, reside. It seems they also can’t read the newspaper about how many millions of firearms and rounds of ammunition have been sold just since 2008. Do they think the Occupy hippies and anarchists have been buying all those things?

I dont think it is that simple. the military is theirs, most of it. They own most police.

Van Jones: "When I said I love America, I mean I actually love the people in America - the people who live in America. Some of them are brown, some of them are female, some of them are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, some of them have bizarre piercings and tattoos, but I love them. How can you say you love America but then despise most of the people who live here."

I know this must just be an oversight, but when he listed all the different kinds of people he loves, he left out white people.

Oh yeah - and when he referenced "most of the people who live here," that statistic also happens to be white people.

If, that is, we are dividing people up by their skin color, sex and sexuality, in the most divisive way possible.

Instead of meaning, by the word "American," that equality under the law for all human beings that this country actually stands for.

Naw, I don't think its an oversight. Rather, I think Mr. Van Jones is a racist, sexist, communist agitprop sh**head fomenting sedition.
