I hear that loud and clear. I was a carpenter/contractor so I have everything I need to build houses and then some for woodworking. I've fixed nearly every mechanical component of my '49 and '59 Chevy trucks and a few other vehicles too. Including one complete engine rebuild on a '62 327 small block. And then there's just fiddle farting around trying to fix some old appliance or doodad that most people would chuck just to see if I can.

My collection is relatively small and basic with a few exceptions of special tools but I wouldn't sell any of them. A good tool is a treasure.

Yeah! There's nothing that gives you a better feeling of accomplishment. I rebuilt my 65 chevy (engine and trany) way-back when, and it's still running, but, not that often anymore.

It sure does put a grin on your face to see it run after the job is done!
