POMONA (CBS) April Cooper fell in love with Princess her Bichon Frise puppy the moment she laid eyes on her in a pet store six years ago.
She was this beautiful, little, sweet little puff ball, said Cooper. We just fell in love with her. She had so much personality.
After bringing the little pup home to Pomona, Princess settled in with her new family. She loved getting rubbed all over. And she loved to romp in the backyard. She liked to romp maybe a little too much. Princess dug a hole under a fence and escaped. We put out flyers. It was such a sad, sad thing. We prayed a lot about her.
She went missing all these years. Rachel Kim, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, picks up the story there.
Princess was recently found roaming the streets of Riverside.
Cooper believes she was being well-cared for by a family but recently abandoned and left on the streets.
A Good Samaritan found Princess and took her to the pound, the pound checked her for a microchip and Princess and Cooper were recently reunited.
When she got the call, no one was more surprised that Princess was safe and sound. I was shocked, I was like What?!, said Cooper.
Princess recognized Cooper immediately. I sat down at the patio table and she instantly jumped into my lap.
Princess was also found roaming the streets with a dog she has named Bella and Cooper believes Bella is Princess daughter
Good thing the dog didn’t pass by the White House..
obama aych yo dingo
oops, wrong thread, lol
When I first read this I thought that the girl’s name was Alice Cooper and I’m thinking what parent would name their little girl that?
Did she keep Bella? And how did she know the dog’s name was Bella? Did Princess tell her?
A happy ending. Just hope April takes better care of Princess. Like maybe keep her inside unless she is supervised. Lucky Princess wasn’t kidnapped by dog fighters. Small creatures like her are used for bait.
Just yesterday a little Shitzu lost was in my backyard. Had no idea who she belonged to and had a collar but no tags.
Thought about keeping her while posting signs in the neighborhood but called the Animal Shelter instead for a pickup. Today a little black girl knocked on my door, showed me her lost dog pic on her phone and voila. They hadn’t checked the Animal Shelter but her dad told her to go knock on neighborhood doors. So good news there...only thing is the city Animal Shelter will hit them up for a bunch of fees (license, rabies shots, etc..) More govt.extortions but she will get her lil’ doggie back so thank God for that.
Those chips really work.
My friend rescued 3 kittens that she named tom, Dick, & Harry. They were all microchipped. There is a public bike path that passes by her house. Dick kept wandering and was turned in twice at the nearest animal clinic. The 3rd time Dick wandered they never found him. 5 months later my friend received a call from a vet from a town about 30 miles away. A lady out there had Dick and wanted to keep him. My friend allowed the cat to go to the new home, but she was miffed that the people didn’t say thank you, or anything.
Uh.
*ahem*
Yes they do which is why I’m wondering why the family that supposedly had her for the last 6 years never checked her for one.
I’ve heard through back channels that the Food Stamp President wants the Dept. of Agriculture to have food stamps expanded to include “dog food” (wink, wink,...).
LOL! [cough] LOL!
And.. I doubt Princess was abandoned by the good Samaritans taking care of her.. She probably escaped from their yard, too.
