My wife and I are going to the polls this afternoon to vote in the PA primary race and I'm curious to know who others are voting for in the U.S. Senate contest between:
David Alan Christian
Marc Scaringi
Steve Welch
Tom Smith
Sam Rohrer
I've been leaning toward Tom Smith, who has been inundating the local talk radio airwaves with ads over the past month, though I received an e-mail last night from Michele Bachmann's campaign team endorsing Sam Rohrer. One thing I can say for certain... I will absolutely NOT vote for Steve Welch, as he is a true definition of the "Republican in Name Only (RINO)" label having voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and thrown his support behind left-wing U.S. Senate Democrat candidate Joe Sestak in 2010.
Then there's the Auditor General race between Frank Pinto and John Maher in which I know nothing about either candidate. Any thoughts on this one?
Here in Michigan, I’ll probably vote for Pete Hoekstra. He’s not perfect but he is acceptable and I think he can defeat Stabenow.
i was gonna vote for Smith but he was a 40 year registered demonRAT and only "converted" very recently.
He claims to be a life time conservative but...
Welsh supported both Sestak and obama, 'nuff said.
The other guys don't have a prayer.
Tim Smith will get my vote.
I had high hopes for Sam Rohrer in his quest to eliminate property taxes. He squawked a lot during Rendell’s reign but appears to have lost the drive once a fellow republican moved into the mansion. He looks more like a typical politician than a man of the people now.
I’m voting for Smith. I was a democrat for many years as well. Smith is a member of the Indiana/Armstrong Patriots and a strong conservative. I don’t have a problem voting for him.
Oh, and
too
Scaringi and Rohrer are the most conservative candidates.
John Maher has been running a lot of ads on talk radio. He does not sound super articulate and in a 30 second ad he says he's a CPA like 5 times. I don't have much info on Pinto, other than he is a long time conservative and has been involved in a number of Republican campaigns in the past. I'm leaning towards Pinto.
You don't, at least as far as I was able to find out.
I did some pokin' around on the net over the weekend but couldn't find anything re PA CD10 delegate commitments.
Someone on another PA primary thread had some limited info for other CDs, but not this one.
Regardless, my understanding is that even the 'committed' delegates aren't bound after the first convention vote, if then.
Sam Rohrer
Sam Roher.
At least they spelt it correctly on the ballot machine.

There was a list of delegated for my district on here the other day. I picked three for Newt and when I showed up this AM, not a damn one was votable. Never heard of any of them.
We voted Pinto - a solid conservative whom a friend mine knows personally. I don't know much about the other guy except that he was endorsed by both the Republican party and the Inquirer. That was enough for me to stay away.
I have to say, the more I read about Scaringi and listen to him speak, the more I like him. It doesn’t sound like he’s a favorite to win today’s primary though.
I”m confused about the delegates as well. I have been asking around. Seems to me there was a flyer in the mail with five or six who all were Tea Party oriented. I remember the names of two of them, I believe. We should know who they support - or at least to whom they are leaning - so we can be informed voters. Even my boss did not know - and he’s a Republican elected official!
