A Philadelphia man came to the rescue of a hungry squirrel that was apparently stuck inside a bag of pistachios.
Sergei Petrov was hanging out at his friends house Thursday when he noticed the squirrel with the bag on its head, running in circles.
He sensed that I was there, but he couldnt see me so he ran into a wall, Petrov told ABCNews.com.
After several attempts with his foot and finally his hand, Petrov freed the squirrel from the bag. Shocked, the little guy went sprinting in the other direction and up a tree, leaving Petrov happy he didnt have to get a rabies shot, he said.

The fright of the guy trying to rescue the squirrel is really laughable. The courage of the squirrel in standing his ground while the rescuer approached is more amazing.
People can make fun if they want, but God will bless this man for helping that squirrel.
Slow day in the news I guess.
Having hand raised a baby squirrel, I can attest that even when they are being friendly they are still all needle sharp claws.
My body looked like a road map for months.
A squirrel can run up and down you leaving a deep bite every few inches before you know it’s on you. Lucky guy.
My dad rescued my Rottie, who had a Miller 12- pach box stuck on his head, and hence, couldn’t get to his water dish all day (while I was on vacation).
Dad, of course, ran home and got his camera before rescuing the parched beast. The dawg was fine, but did drink several quarts of water.
My heroM
Yeah, those guys are nice people.
Squirrelly!
I had one of those squirrel proof bird feeders with a long tube. I went out to fill the feeder and the squirrel had gotten into the top of the tube and down into it. He was tightly squuzed in there. I could see he was still alive. I had to shake him out vigorously and I was damned glad he didn’t bite me.
Rats with fuzzy tails. Bastards.
How come you didn’t make the news?
Skunks are big fans of Yo Plait Yogurt.
Save a skunk! They kill chickens. If I find them in my coop they are trapped and dispatched.
