What is the recovery time for a typical rhinoplasty?

My daughter is attending a wedding 25 days after a possible nose job? How long before she will not have bruising, swelling? Should she postpone surgery?

You may want to inquire about the bruising with the doc. My mom had some plastic surgery and was given a medication to help speed up healing time from the bruising.

She may want to take a look at this stuff. It covers VERY well. Have used it, myself.

Why is she doing it?

She will be unrecognizable to everyone who knew her before.

Everybody is imperfect. Once you start sculpting, where do you stop?

Thanks...the doc mentioned bruising, but said swelling was also an issue. He also mentioned dermablend

The question is how long before a good amount of recovery...2 weeks, 4 weeks...

25 days should be sufficient time. I’ve broken my nose before and usually by about 14 days the bruising and swelling is gone.

Everyone is different but ....

Rhinoplasty Healing Time

The initial rhinoplasty healing time lasts about two to three weeks, with most patients returning to work after about one week. For at least one to two months, avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may cause a blow to the nose. During the rhinoplasty recovery period, be careful not to accidentally hit your nose. Doing so can cause pain, prolong the recovery time, or even move your nose out of alignment. The nose is somewhat weaker than normal until it is fully healed.

I got one in Walls, MS @ Hole in the Walls bar & pool room. Little dude bout six foot, 200 and quick as a ferrett. Swellin’ was gone in a week or so but was black under both eyes for way longer than a month. Snicker snicker yet factual.

Punch her in the nose and break it so she can find out the answers to those questions.

"...ever had a nose job?"

I'm happy to report that my nose has never been gainfully employed. I don't think it ever has even looked for a job. Although it did once volunteer to "spite my face," whatever the hell that was all about!?

8^O

I assume in her 20s/30s? Young folks heal quicker. Have had my nose broken a couple times. Reset it myself once. Not pleasant. You can expect heavy swelling at the site. Black/blue will radiate outwards and make it look as if both eyes got bloused. It will actually worsen for several days post-op. Ice helps. Ibuprofen/Aspirin helps to reduce swelling. 1800 Cuervo Gold for pain. Seriously. Easier on stomach. No need to get drunk. Just sip it morning, noon and night.

Good luck! Should clear up in a period of 2-3 weeks.

I've had all sorts of jobs, but never a nose job.

I'll have to ask my next girlfriend for one.
