The last date we didn’t have a WWII +70 Years thread was August 15, 2009. According to my calculations that makes today the 1,000th consecutive day with one or more threads. The total number of threads posted during that period, counting sports, movies, radio specials, and any others, is 1,279. On the Eastern Front... Soviet attacks aimed at recapturing the city of Kharkov start. This offensive is a renewal of attempts to trap the German armies in the area against Sea of Azov (in January).
