smithwicks is too sweet for my gullet. I generally dislike german and belgian beer, like czech lager to a degree, and certain ales of the british isles are to die for...says my taste buds. Beer is something that is extremely variable and mysterious. Two people will not taste the same beer and have the same experience.
These days, I’m a beer snob. I prefer Stella Artois on draught, but I also like Sam Adams. There’s also a “Stella” beer from Egypt and it tastes like anteater urine.
