I think some of those pics are fake, but others look like they are large dogs that are sitting on their owners laps and projecting closer to the camera, making them appear even larger. I may as well add my dog to the mixture, he's not nearly as large as these dogs but is not small:

A friend of mine is getting his second Shiloh Shepherd next week. Here's a picture of the "baby" at 10 weeks old, and close to 30 pounds already. I think his feet might be almost as big as my Maltese's head.

Sweet! We had a shepherd when I was a kid. Great dog, altho she had a thing for skunks and porcupines. Silly girl, she never won.

Gennie is the owner of Pioneer German Shepherds, and I just now read on his/her(?) webpage how the Pioneer GSDs continue the line of some of the original GSDs that Tina used in her founding of the Shiloh.

I thought you might be interested in this explanation from Pioneer's website at this link.
