The Man of Steel? Lois Lane's lover? DC Comics has jumped the shark - maybe. But the DC Comics co-publisher appears to be contemplating changing the sexual orientation of an "established character:"
One question asked at the DC panel today at the Kapow comic convention in London, was about DC co-publisher Dan DiDio's interview with The Advocate. Specifically over the decision not to change any character's sexual orientation when relaunching the DC Universe. At the time Dan stated they would introduce new LGBT characters rather than switch orientation, but the question asked why DC would switch race, size, age, all sorts of identifying features, but not orientation.
Surprisingly, Dan stated that they had changed DC's policy in this regard. And they ae about to reintroduce a previously existing DC character who was previously straight and now will be "one of our most prominent gay characters."
As Senior VP Sales Bob Wayne explained, just like the President of the United States, the co-publisher's policy on this "has evolved."
And despite his best efforts to stem Dan's wandering mouth, we also got the very strong impression that the death of Superman of Earth Two many not have been as final as portrayed...
Obviously, this doesn't mean that the character that is to be transformed is Superman. But his death certainly opens up that possibility.

What marketing genius thought this could boost sales, when homos are 2-4% of the overall population.
The truth is, most Hollywood TV and movie writers are gay, and they exercise a disproportionate ability to inject(no pun intended) their Point of view into media that is digested by all age groups.
Even a cartoon knows it's a choice to be gay or straight.
Man..I would HATE to be on the business end of those super powers..ouch

I always thought Batman and Robin had a bit of a strange relationship, however, Clark Kent used to undress in phone booths when he reverted to Superman.

It has to be Batman, lives by himself, has a young guy hanging around him. Also he didn’t bang Michelle Pfeiffer like a drum when she played Catwoman in the movie. That’s proof enough for me. Not Superman!
actually there are quite a few survivors - the phantom zone gang, supergirl (kissing cousin?), bottled city of Kondor just to name a few.
Interestingly while all the more recent constructions of Batman have him abhorring the use of firearms, a few of his first issues in the late 30s had him utilizing them for his own purposes.

Based on the above information, I have to conclude it is not Batman....

DC Comics is headquartered in New York City...they don’t seem to understand that what they see outside the office window is NOT an accurate reflection of America ‘at large’...
This would be the absolute death of Superman as a viable comic / American symbol. But what the heck, they’ve been trying to kill this off for a while.
well superman had a long run I guess it was time for him to end.
