To: Intolerant in NJ

(confession....) I answer polls that way... I do not answer 100% truthfully if it (the 100% honest truth) would provide some sort of advantage to advance the other side’s arguments.... But I suspect many people answer poll questions this way, so that should be assumed in analyzing the results, correct?

But I suspect many people answer poll questions this way, so that should be assumed in analyzing the results, correct?...I guess, but it seems to me you'd have to accept that both sides in the poll were fudging, which might balance each other out - or maybe you'd have to apply a weighted correction factor to filter out the assumed bias - anyway the post was referring to, and what I was objecting to, was the way some events are hidden or minimized to keep the left's opposition from gaining arguing points, which would seem to hinder lefties from actually understanding what was really going on and coming up with effective policies for dealing with reality - I've heard the argument that "we don't want to give the other side ammunition" in issues from racial attacks to botched abortions - sad.......
