TOLEDO, Ohio - Ohio's second casino is ready for its debut. The Hollywood Casino in Toledo opens Tuesday, just two weeks after the state's first casino opened to big crowds in downtown Cleveland. The Toledo casino will go head-to-head for customers with three casinos that are just an hour's drive to the north in Detroit. Developers say there's room for both even though the two casinos are just two hours apart.
They are turning the lights out in Detroit, so the casino is the only place they can see who is picking their pockets.
That was my thought.
What constitutes wealth today is somewhat subjective. If we’re talking about Detroit, I believe the bar has been lowered considerably.

I can’t imagine anyone who had (or could borrow) the price of a U-Haul rental staying in Detroit — let alone a “wealthy” chap or chappette. But that’s just me.
Wealthy enough to afford to drive to Toledo, but not wealthy enough to fly to Vegas.
Toledo, the armpit of Ohio.
