Amy - I know it's kinda late to post a 'gripe' or 'pet peeve' - but it's been a busy day - and I wanted to get this one in.

I have a cell phone and that is all I use for long distance. I cancelled my land line long distance calling plan, as I was spending over $250 a month.

So.....when I want to talk to my kids, or a friend that lives out of my calling area, I use my cell phone to reach them, and it costs nothing!

My pet peeve is this:

They can operate a robot on the planet Mars by remote control here on Earth.
But, they can't keep a cell phone connected between the kitchen and livingroom!!!
Or...if you are a passenger in a car..........between two rocks on the road!

Open mic Tuesday....well my open mouth says NO RINO ROMNEY! I am sick and tired of drinking the former grand old party's Koolaid of voting for the lesser of 2 evils. Which still gets you EVIL, and takes you down the path of socialisim, and marxism. If it takes 4 more years of 0 to wake this country up and do what our Founding Fathers did, so be it.

I WILL NOT VOTE FOR RINO ROMNEY! I have to stand before my GOD and explain why I voted for a baby killer like romney.

A Better Place

When my friend Marci’s father-in-law passed away, she stopped making his favorite dessert: pineapple salad. One day, her little boy asked why she no longer served it. She replied, “It reminds me of Papa, and it makes me sad; Papa really liked that dessert.” Her son replied in a chipper tone, “Not better than heaven!”

That little boy had the right idea. Heaven is a much better place. Remembering this can help ease our sadness when things on earth trigger memories of believing loved ones who have passed away. Our friends and family who have heavenly addresses are much happier there because:

• Heaven is God’s home. God’s followers will enjoy His presence for all eternity (Rev. 21:3-4).

• Heaven is comfortable in every way. Heaven’s residents will never be sick or upset (21:4), hungry or thirsty (7:16).

• Heaven is a beautiful place. A “clear as crystal” river will flow from God’s throne (22:1), and God Himself will give heaven its light (22:5).

Do things in this world sometimes remind you of believers who have moved on to the next world? If so, it’s comforting to think that they are now enjoying heaven—a better place by far.

If God has made this world so fair,
Where sin and death abound,
How beautiful beyond compare
Will paradise be found! —Montgomery

Last evening I heard a program on God's Learning Channel, (http://www.godslearningchannel.com/site/index.php named “heart of the Shepherd&rdquo); being 4 pastors;s teaching on being a pastor, unity, responsibilities, not assuming responsibilities that rightfully are not theirs, and all thing concerning being a Pastor. It is a weekly program. (GLC largely teaches and focuses on Jewish Roots teaching. Which is the basis of all. God changes not, He is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. Hebrews

There was a comment I found most interesting. It was ... paraphrased ...
‘Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, God took complete care of them ... all was provided and readily available, When thy sinned and were cast out of the garden ... the curse was ... they were to be SELF Sufficient!!! That is the problem still today. It is self sufficiency that keeps us from completely surrendering our life to God and His Will for us, and serving God ever.

Consider this a bit.
