Allen West: Obama 'Desperate' After Jobs Numbers (video Allen West interview)

Florida Congressman Allen West believes that today’s dismal jobs report will back President Barack Obama into a corner and make him a “desperate person” with the election now five months away.

“When you’re a desperate person — much the same as a cat being cornered – you’re going to come out and really fight even stronger,” predicted West in an exclusive interview with Newsmax shortly after the Labor Department reported that employers had created only 69,000 jobs in May — the fewest in a year — while the unemployment rate ticked up. Together, the news fueled fears that the economy is heading in the wrong direction under Obama's stewardship.

“I think that the president’s policies are failing the American people,” explained West. “We have now hit 40 consecutive months of unemployment in the United States of America at or above 8 percent.”

GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney quickly labeled the jobs numbers “devastating news for American workers and American families,” while House Speaker John Boehner said it’s clear that Americans are in a “desperate spot.”

“It is now clear to everyone that President Obama’s policies have failed to achieve their goals and that the Obama economy is crushing America’s middle class,” Romney said.

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price of Georgia said that the jobs report reflects economic growth in America that continues to “disappoint and underperform.”

The American people may be looking for leadership, what they are getting is millions of dollars of our money spent by Obama and his wife going to fund raisers.

They don’t even travel together, we are paying for two planes and two sets of Secret Service operatives traveling all over the country.

4 years after George Bush , Obama is still blaming him for the troubles Obama’s policies have caused.

Added to that we have a Justice Department who is suing States and telling states they cannot clean up their own voter rolls. An immigratiopn policy that plain doesn’t exist, an Energy policy that doesn’t exist, and a foreign policy that is a nightmare.

Expect a false-flag terrorist attack any day now, probably by a Timothy McVeigh type, who will not be captured alive.

The very day of the attack there will be 5000-word detailed articles about the patsy... I mean perp.

wow presidents control employment? granted this one has an adverse effect but we need to quit looking to someone in washington to make our life better, they just need to get out of our way....until we all have that mindset nothing will change for the better.

This needs to be your VP selection!!

romney would ruin his future..just like mccain wouldve ruined Palins...he would have her carry his water to spew on hannity and rush. quite frankly i dont know what you guys expect out of a vp...o h really the president is going to listen to his vp. biden is just a distraction , sure he was picked so biden's son would have larry sinclair arrested during the election.

I don’t think so. West would be the pitbull for the campaign, and like someone else said on another thread. Romney ain’t McCain. He looks like he wants to win. Based on the last few days, it looks to me like he’s going to. With a strong congress, which we are focusing on, we can hold Mitt’s feet to the fire, and set West up to be the next President.
I didn’t want Mitt as the nominee, but he is, and he is going right after Obozo. If he keeps it up, he’ll have my support.

OK, so what’s our choice, in the real world? We let Obozo have another 4 years, and guarantee the end of our country? Make no mistake, he wins, and he and his ilk will control this country until we are sub-servant to the UN, or we have an armed civil war that kills millions.
Or we take what we have, we’ve thrown some RINOs out in the primaries, and we keep pushing the TEA party agenda.
The left hasn’t done this overnight. They are masters at incrementation, and some on our side want to take their toys and go home if we don’t get everything in one election. A lot of those same people say we have to fight them on their level. That is also one of their levels.
Something else to remember, the people running the Republican party, came of age at the same time the ones that are running the Dems right now. They are all products of that late 60’s mentality, just not at the Bill Ayers level. That’s what we Conservatives have to purge as well, but again you take your wins, and do the best you can, and we learn from our losses. We still have a country to save.
