Just days after revealing a 33lb cat waddling about the city of New York, a shelter in the same city has unearthed an even fatter one. Garfield, a 40lb orange and white cat was received at a Port Washington, New York shelter on Thursday, in some unquestionably unhealthy fat-cat competition. 'This is the fattest cat I have ever seen,' North Shore veterinarian Gerard Leheney told the New York Post. 'My first reaction was astonishment.'

I inherited a main coon cat that was hugely fat. She could not clean her butt and broke her hips jumping off a bed before she came to me. LOL
She’s thinner and cleaner now. She follows me around like a dog. She’s big and beautiful - white with little bob cat tufts of hair on her ears. She was a tad aggressive but wisely decided I was bigger and meaner. Through cooperation and mutual respect, I am now the best servant she has ever trained for her staff.
*applause*
My formally dressed Miss Kitty and I just sat at the window and watched a rabbit come through the yard, right up to the window, graze a bit and move on. When Miss Kitty arrived to take over my home, she too was over weight. She has since been on a forced diet which has her much sleeker and I presume healthier. She is an odd one in that she doesn’t meow, she squeaks. She is the first cat that has chosen me for servant that doesn’t like hamburger, cooked or raw. She will drink the fluid fromt he tuna can, but she doesn’t particularly like the fish flesh. She is my living nap alarm ... she tells me when it’s time in the afternoon for our nap.
I count eleven in the box. I wonder, are they all from the same litter? They appear to be adults and yet all staying in the box for their pix!
What a cutie. My cats are bossy as heck. They have a routine and just don’t mess with it!
YES! I even named them - from left to right there’s Peepers, Dandy Two, Domino, Scruffy, Brindles, Lucky, Muffy, Puffy, Dreamsicle, Smokey. I wonder when they’ll arrive. Hope they reinforce that box. It’ll certainly make a nice addition to my already burgeoning cat family. There are TEN cats in that box; I thought there were only SEVEN! Wow! Cheap!
Count the ears ... I see twenty one ears, and unless there is a cat in there with three ears, one cat on the left of center has its paw around another cat and it head is partially obscured by that cat.
They need to stop advertising the worlds fattest cat, etc....it’s probably causing people to feed their cats more and more to break records. This is very unhealthy, the cats suffer and live a short life. People are stupid, don’t forget that.
