Perhaps someone can explain to me how a *cop* gets to leave a dog in a parked car in the summer? I’d, rightly, be arrested for animal cruelty.

So, why did the dog attack? Aren’t they trained to attack on command and ONLY on command?

I understand many police depts. are getting rid of their Belgian Malinois in favor of German Shepherds because the Malinois are too aggressive and will not let go.

As for unexplained how the dog got out..
Reminds me of the ‘I don’t know, it just went off by itself’ explanation of a AD gun incident.

Anyway, that’s one man that won’t need a Walmart job in a year or two.

The incident happened about 2 a.m. Thursday when the worker, Mang Dieke, stepped outside to take a coffee break

Maybe it was an unauthorized coffee break.

I’m not one for frivolous lawsuits, but I’d sue the daylights out of the city.

Cha-ching. This case will settle for $250,000, or go all the way for a bunch more.

Again, police should not be allowed to use attack dogs. This is a great illustration. You cannot surrender to a dog.

Dogs in the police and security business are taught commands in German. Perhaps dog heard the victim or someone else inadvertently say, “fassen!” (grab).

Aged golden retriever belonging to a non-cop private citizen?

Clearly a dangerous threat to an officer. Must be shot on sight if it so much as looks at an officer.

Loose police dog which attacks a civilian?

Well, golly gee, these things happen. Oopsie. Our bad. Don’t shoot Rex, unless you want to be imprisoned for murdering a police officer.
