The guy driving the giant truck that got rear ended by Lindsay Lohan Friday tells TMZ ... LiLo was trying to flee the scene and when he tried to stop her ... her people tried to buy his silence.
Lindsay was driving on the PCH yesterday when she collided with a semi-truck driven by James (we're leaving out his last name). Lohan was trailed by a Cadillac Escalade (which James refers to as a limousine) ... driven by someone connected with her Lifetime movie.

Obviously not more than the rag thats reporting it.
Damn Im cynical today. The guy probly (no stretch there) has more scruples than her and was working for his living when she interrupted his life.
I wouldda emptied her bank account on the spot!
He should at least get a ‘I Got Rear-ended by LiLo!’ bumper sticker and a hug..
Glad she didn’t steal his...never mind...looks like the Lohan E! life story will have to be updated. I just saw that riveting expose the other night, don’t ask.
But, but...she’s SO talented!
If it was less than enough to live comfortably on for the rest of my life I’d turn it down.
IF the truck belonged to someone other than him. he’d be fired for not reporting the accident.
If the truck belonged to him and the DOT found out, he’d loose his CDL for not reporting the accident.
The drivers hands where tied. All commercial vehicle accidents MUST be reported.
Her handlers should insist that she have a driver.
She’s going to kill someone (or herself) before it’s over.
A gift that keeps on giving?
Why does any celebrity drive under the influence? It’s no problem getting a driver. It would save money in the long term for an involuntary manslaughter charge/DUI charge.
Until I read your post, I had no problem with the idea of settling an accident’s damages without police involvement. Even more so when it involves a pop star who doesn’t want guys like this cashing in on the encounter. I think the law requiring police involvement just because property damage exceeds some arbitrary threshold is stupid. Private parties should be allowed to settle their own affairs. I can’t imagine a semi suffered much damage being rear-ended by a Porsche.
If the truck wasn’t his, then of course it wasn’t his decision to make.
In the meantime, countless young ladies are gravely disappointed at the non-fatal outcome of this accident, as they have been training, at their own expense, mind you, for what they had been hoping lucrative careers as LiLo impersonators on stages of Las Vegas.
She won’t escape this incident unscathed. She may find herself rear-ended before this is over.
In further reports accident witnesses testified that the bribe was offered for stating to the police that Ms LiLo was seen actually wearing panties.
You can clear that kind of giift up with some good antibiotics.
Give her a break - It’s hard to drive with all those house arrest bracelets and leg irons on. /sarc
In L.A. you’re not supposed to call the police for an accident unless there’s a need for them (injury, assist for clearing road, etc.).
Why doesn’t someone stop her. She is going to kill san innocent person one of these days.
