These guys like to play tricks with averages of median temps or not whichever suits their purpose better. When you have rainy summers the temp may not drop anywhere near as much at night compared to a clear night sky so the average of the median temps may be higher even though the summer may not have been anywhere near as hot. I love our very hot dry summers here and I work outside and at night so I am very aware of the weather.
