Australasia has hottest 60 years in a millennium, scientists find ( tree ring data lies)

Study of tree rings, corals and ice cores finds unnatural spike in temperatures that lines up with manmade climate change

The last 60 years have been the hottest in Australasia for a millennium and cannot be explained by natural causes, according to a new report by scientists that supports the case for a reduction in manmade carbon emissions.

A million dollars in research funding that justifies ten billion dollars in carbon taxes. I’d say that’s a pretty good ROI…if it holds up.

If Australia would just PAVE all those roads in the Outback, no one would need those monstrous, horrible SUV’s to get around in.

Then the Planet would begin to heal, the Oceans would stop rising, the... (oh, you say someone has already used that line?)

need I say it?

OK.

Cool. That only leaves 4 billion years unaccounted for.

“The last 60 years have been the hottest in Australasia for a millennium”

You mean since the (IPCC “non-existent”) Medieval Warm Period?

Yes, yes, very hot. So hot it is freezing. Canberra just had its second coldest May on record, and for the homeless, the weather has been menacing.

But it never seems to get through to the members of the global warming cult. Here is a funny bit in an interview from 2010. At the end of the interview, he says that Australia will have a drop in rainfall. Oh yeah ... from 2010 till now, nothing but floods and rain!

A CSIRO scientist is cautioning authorities that they should not interpret the snowstorm over Europe and North America or the cool wet summer in Australia as an end to global warming.

NASA research shows that 2010 is the hottest year on record. And Barry Hunt an honorary research fellow at the CSIRO's Marine and Atmospheric Research unit told Jennifer Macey that global temperatures will continue to rise even if there's another cold snap.

Temperatures will rise, even if they fall.

BARRY HUNT: Over the last century the global mean temperature has gone up by 0.8 degrees and that's the extent of the global warming.

But at the same time we also have natural climatic variation ...

And nearby New Zealand confirms.

Christchurch shivers through its coldest day on record

So now they run around with their temperature readings from airports and claim its one of the warmest years ever here in the US. While at the same time we have snow occurring in June. One has to wonder how we could have one of the warmest winters and springs ever when the Western US has been so cold ? Do not see how that is even physically possible if they have not rigged the temperature measurements.

I am no meteorologist but the last few summers have sucked - no long periods of heat - lots of rain - winters have not been bad either I suppose but this year is shaping up as a cold one. I have lived in Adelaide South Australia for 51 years and can remember many hot summers but only maybe 2 out of the last ten have been good hot ones like I remember back in the late 70’s early 80’s.

Now that is interesting...I would consider your statement more authentic than Ms Gergis research.

Have a good day.

LOL. The study lasted a whole three weeks before it was debunked and pulled from the web site.

See #13 for a personal report.

Apparently the AGW scientists think their database doesn't need to correlate with peoples personal observations.

As you commented a few posts further down. "Apparently the AGW scientists think their database doesn't need to correlate with peoples personal observations."
How right you are.

Shorter summers starting later, lots and lots of rain apparently going back to weather patterns I can remember from the late sixties, some quite welcome thunder storms after a long period of their almost total absence, and now I’m sitting here wrapped up in a blanket because it’s so darn cold I can barely type, and this from the southern border region of the Sunshine State, Queensland.

The last really hot summer we had was in 1998. I remember it like yesterday. The liars must all be waiting for an entire generation to die BUT WE REMEMBER!

These guys like to play tricks with averages of median temps or not whichever suits their purpose better. When you have rainy summers the temp may not drop anywhere near as much at night compared to a clear night sky so the average of the median temps may be higher even though the summer may not have been anywhere near as hot. I love our very hot dry summers here and I work outside and at night so I am very aware of the weather.
