A group of Idaho high school students have created a 15-foot-long grill modeled after a Smith & Wesson Magnum 500 revolver.

The students created the gun-shaped grill as part of a project in their welding class and donated the final product to a local gun store. When the grill is fired up, its smoke is released through the barrel-shaped exhaust port, giving the appearance that the revolver has just been shot...

Pretty neat project.

BTW, I love some of the comments posted below the story. My favorite is definitely "I know what you're thinking. 'Did he cook six steaks, or only five?'" LOL!

Now THAT is cool.

I’d call it the ‘Trayvonator’.

And soon the calls for the resignations of the shop teacher will begin.

This is awesome. We used to bring our guns to shop class to refinish stocks and blue barells in the 80s. But I can’t imagine the hell this will cause the teachers involved with this project in today’s climate though. The media will ‘Shirley’ bring the circus to town. A gun BBQ built for a gun store? The HORROR! Those poor kids have been scarred for life!!

God I hope the town fights back when the fun starts.

I wonder if the school has a zero policy gun rule.

If so, I wonder if the Principal or teachers will enforce it.

That is one sweet looking grill.

Bonus points: using a gun-shaped bbq to grill meat you’ve shot yourself is also good for trolling the PETA crowd.

Sadly I’d wager that having one of those puppies your yard here (UK) would be sure to bring a visit or two from the local plod.
